Hi guys, I've been missing for a while and I would like to first apologise for the lack of posting/updates.
Long story short, there might be a potential conflict of interest/grey area should I continue sharing about finance topics and have hence taken a step back (to not deal with any potential issues in the future as well)
I enjoyed sharing my views, Technical Analysis and on cerain topics - especially the Options series which I believe was well received by most people ...

Back with part 3! This took a while to write, cause I was quite busy this week and will also be the last part of options sharing. Would like to add one more disclaimer due to certain people's comments/messages to me. PLEASE test out options on paper trading, or understand it more before diving into it or even trading it, and I'll address the most asked question:
I bought/sold some options, where are my shares???
IN GENERAL, you ONLY get your shares when it meets 2 c...

In line with this topic, I find that traders are often split on this topic. In a veryvery layman way of putting it
Chasing capital gains = usually investments in high growth stocks/industry
Dividends = usually investments in Dividend kings, for a more stable return over time
My thoughts on this is, why not both?
A good example of this would be $Icahn Enterprises (IEP.US)$ whereby price went all the way down to 9.73 somewhere around early September. IEP h...

Oct 19 - Technical Setups
Current market doesnt look good for me. Market was down last night, together with crypto.
Despite speculating about a bearish engulfing sign on the Oct 16 ($SPY Bearish Engulfing candle), I didnt trim my positions fast enough.
Thankfully, we are seeing positive reactions from Tesla’s earning.

Hohoho, back with another post. One thing that is very daunting or hard for new investors to grasp is the concept of options. And as usual, I'm here to try to make it simpler to understand in layman terms, or at least I hope, its hard to simplify options, but I'll try my best!
What is an option?
An option is essentially a contract that represents 100 shares (for US options, or 1 lot). You will thus need to x100 the price of the options price. An option consist...

Back with part 2! Yesterday's post gained quite a lot traction and spurred me to write this part faster. Today I'll be going through Implied Volatility or IV for short.
What is IV?
Ok remember Vega? Vega is the risk of changes in IV. And in very layman terms, higher IV = more expensive contracts and likewise, lower IV = cheaper contracts. IV essentially measures the option's pricing sensitivity to changes in VOLATILITY. ...

Wow, 2 posts from Ivan in 1 day?!?!?!
Happy monday everyone and I hope you have a well rested weekend. This week opens up with many earnings, with the below screenshot taken from Earnings Whispers, showing the most anticipated ones
My thoughts are, many banks will be releasing their earnings report this week, such as $Goldman Sachs (GS.US)$ , $Citigroup (C.US)$ , $MORGAN STANLEY (MSTLW.US)$ ,and the banking sector seem to be leading the way.

Hi all, a little bit different from sharing of Technical Analysis, but more on my personal investment strategies to go in line with the topic this week.
I started gaining an interest back during my time in the army, and dabbled with Crypto. Back then, I honestly didn't know much about investments and dumped most of my savings there, only for most of Crypto to pullback (this was around 2016/17). I was quite bumped and ignored investments for a while due t...

As promised, this one will be a fun one, before I go back to the main topic for this week - arguably one of the most popular trading tools used by many. Likewise, my sharing is based off how I've learnt and how I try to simplify into layman terms for new investors, seasoned investors please give chance
