Since it's the fear/greed of losing out on additional good news is usually the stronger driving factor. So most will probably hold till after the news to decide.
These days markets react mostly on forward looking statements and predictions, chasing after the pot of gold at the end of rainbows

Duskerdawn : last minute pump up in HK markets, looks like it's past 88 when US markets open

Duskerdawn : 1/Robinhood might not have the same offerings as MooMoo.
2/ within Asia Pacific, Robinhood is unknown, so they will have to spend alot on marketing.
3/ interactive brokers and webull are western apps already here in sg, their impact on moomoo does not seem to be huge.
however, it's all good for us as consumers as there will be more goodies!

Duskerdawn : but yeah 20% means you super bullish. I think depends on the price you bought. I was equally bullish from 2021, my Futu investments dived to $40 and stayed low for 3 years.
When it spiked to $120, I sold most. But now I have been adding bit by bit. buying mostly when it dips 10-20%.

Duskerdawn : I think there is more to the above charts, alot of the analyst beats were priced in, especially during the end September/early October rise of most china concept stocks.
Hence, it would appear that the margin of expectation of beating analyst estimates was lower. It's not that their results haven't improved recently.

Search engines have a place in the modern world although it's (Baidu) market share is eroded by the following:-
1) Xiao Hong Shu (XHS) - basically a social media with search engine
2) A maps in China - search engine with map (unlike google baidu didn't create their own search engine)
3) Potentially game changing would be GenAI - although it is noted that Baidu has its own AI. But we won't know who the leading GenAI would be or the future form. My expectation would be that GenAI would be largely integrated into platforms in the future in seemless way, not visible to the end-user.

Duskerdawn : It's currently a duopoly with Airbus with similar revenue amounts... Unless CN's comac gets the relevant approvals/develops a wider range of aicrafts, this duopoly will still stay.
ATM, both Airbus and Boeing cannot fulfill all the outstanding orders. Since supply still lower than demand, won't see the valuation dropping below certain levels.

Duskerdawn : Depends on what you think about future of medicine/vaccines created by Moderna... Under Trump era, likely to be bad...
Also looking at the pandemic (SARS,avian flu, etc) like trends, seems to be every 10 years or so (in modern era). The bigger ones tend to be much wider timeline. That's also assuming that Moderna is the one that develops the vaccine for the next epidemic...
The odds don't look too good for Moderna...

Duskerdawn : Short-run should be 5.08/4.08, mid to long should up to 6.08
The cloud of Trump's presidency is heavy on Chinese/EM market. Especially so when the actual policies are not yet announced...
However, when he takes office and his policies are reveal (whether practicable) the CN/EM markets will recover from there.
Separately, I expect alot of volatility when he is in office. Volatility is typically good for brokerages, alot of trade volume.
