Trading involves human psychology, our own human nature, which we are aware of its existence yet unable to describe it, relying only on intuition. Traders need to compare themselves with other traders:
- Patience (choosing the right opportunity)
- Carefulness (grasping the entry point)
- Courage (not hesitating when opportunities arise)
Compared to thinking (respecting opponents, dialectical thinking)
Compared to willpower (attitude towards downward volatile market after holding positions)
Compared to mentality (don't be resentful after losses, don't try to quickly recover losses, don't try to retaliate against the market)
Compared to steadiness (don't be arrogant after making profits, because the money earned in the market is easily given back to the market)
Remember that trading is a marathon, not a 100-meter sprint. Continuous profits and long-term compound interest are what we should pursue, rather than fantasizing about getting rich overnight in the stock market.
