I have been investing for about 2.5 years. I have become options gun shy because of a bad loss. Had a QQQ call go against me and lost 75% in a matter of minutes. there is a broker called “plynk” that lets you fund accounts by trading in gift cards you dont want. you send them the card info and they instamtly deposit the money for the card into your brokerage account. pretty neat little feature. every gift card i get is going into plynk from now on— unless moomoo gets this in place (and gives me that bonus i read about 🤑😽)

Starting a brand new year is always exciting. It's like drawing a dividing line to separate all the imperfections that happened last year. It brings hope and motivation to chase a better version of oneself.
However, new challenges also come along. A series of unexpected difficulties may be standing in the front.

I bought my first stock in January 2020 and promptly got rekt on GME. This was a 4 digit lesson for me to enter the market. I quickly learned about stop losses and trailing stop losses. When GME peaked around $480 I attempted to sell but my inexperience caused me to be slow and sell for a nasty loss. Got in at $325 and my order did not execute until $250. I will never forget the lessons learned from that drubbing. I dont know if I will ever make up that loss but I wont stop tryin...
