oh how lovely would it be to have for the new year a actual count of a company shares where are they located who has them and how many do they have? an example mumu has 2 million shares of AMC for trading and the broker across the way has a hundred thousand shares of AMC. also there's a share count of 1.5 million AMC shares they are being held by moo moo users.
public information like that would be useful you're also help fight against illegal and legal naked shorts. any information with the amount of shares that are on loan by moomo and other companies.and who has the shares that have been borrowed. if a broker would have this information I guarantee it would be the number one broker app. because the retail investor is more than a step behind of financial institutions, leveling the playing field for retail investors is good business.

The sudden outbreak of the Omicron variant has turned the world into chaos. Almost without anyone noticing, 2021 is quietly coming to an end.
In the past year, we've been through a lot, good and bad. Biden was elected president of the United States, and Merkel stepped down. The postponed 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games were finally held this year. 2021 also marks the 20th anniversary of "9·11"... Elon Musk surpassed Bezos twice to become the wealthiest person on this planet. S&P 500 hit the record-high earlier this year. And as we've put it before, Omicron – a variant of COVID-19 – suddenly broke out...
What a year! For every moment, we are all witnessing history. In fact, we ourselves become part of history. Perhaps a quote can somehow describe how we feel at this moment, "There is only one kind of heroism in the world, that is, after recognizing the essence of life, you still love it." Cheers to all!
Likewise, it is also a remarkable year for moomoo. Having brought a bundle of new blockbuster features to mooers (e.g., Bracket Order, Multiple Exchanges Data of LV2 Quotes for US Stock, Star Institution, etc.), moomoo will continue to polish our products and listen to feedback from users. I wish that everyone will try to stay safe this holiday season and that everyone brings love and joy into each others hearts that make one another's holiday a little bit better. The pandemic has brought so many to their knees in agony and disparity. I wish that we as one race, the human race, can come together without bias of any kind and celebrate  not only because it's the holidays but as a people who will stand strong against negative vibrations and fight for our rights in positive light. I wish all a Merry Christmas and all a positive New Year in 2022. May everyone's wishes come true and may each of us spread love peace and high vibrations throughout the world.
    Hi, mooers!
Has this ever happened to you? After you bought a stock, its price started to go down. The price bounced back right after you let go of it. It seems like we are somewhat being cursed because the market goes against our moves. Have you ever thought of why this happened and how to avoid it? This article might help!
Spoiler: There's a chance for you to win points if you read till the end.
Why should we review our trades?
Writing reviews is one of the most effective ways to evaluate our past performance. A comprehensive review should include the assessment and analysis of your progress and mistakes. Reviews could be the basis for better planning and decision-making in the long run.
Please take a look at what @Jamesimsaid about reviewing trades:  WHY DO YOU WANT TO REVIEW?
    How to review your trades?
Tip 1: Record the actions and results
You can write down your trading ticker, the P/L, transaction details like entry and exit points, order details like buying and selling prices, etc. Details of your actions and results are essential to the reviews and analysis afterward.
    Check out the examples below:
Tip 2: Write down your observations
Apart from the records of your actions, reviews can also include observations. You can always reflect on yourself, the companies you are watching, or the overall stock market. If you are a daytrader, you can take screenshots of intraday charts and comment on them. Besides, technical indicators are helpful when you are trying to uncover patterns. We've found that most trading reviews concentrate on self-analysis and include little about the related companies and market sentiments. Let's see how to do it appropriately below.
"Leap of Faith with Leap Option Play" by @Moo Top
"Era of electronic car competition" by @Jamesim
Tip 3: Accept your mistakes and celebrate your progress
With the records of actions and observations mentioned above, you can dig deeper to uncover the mistakes and progress you've made. In this process, there shouldn't be any hard feelings. We can celebrate and learn from both failures and successes. Reviews enable you to keep tabs on your growth as a trader and the weak links of your trade. Only by constantly improving yourself can you become more confident. An excellent example is as follows: Watch out Trailing Stop!!
Tip 4: Monitor and control your emotions
Being indulged in emotions, negative or positive, could lead to impulsive actions. A review of your trade allows you to note down how you feel when encountering a specific situation. This practice enables you to accept and acknowledge the emotions behind every transaction.
Example to review your emotion "Lost by not entering, won by not entering too." @Moo to Moon FTW, and @Ganar Poco
Trading reviews are powerful learning tools. Writing them is part of the excellent mechanism that helps you discover what you want and what suits you the best. A couple of months later, you may start to uncover the patterns of your trades, which means your trading system is taking shape!
How can moomoo empower your review?
moomoo's trading notes allow you to record the details of your current position target and the profits and losses. It also records the number of stocks and the frequency of your trades within a certain period. Your review could become much more straightforward and precise with the trading notes. Let's take a look at how to use the "review" features on moomoo!
In addition, by reviewing your trade with moomoo, you will be able to exchange notes with other mooers. A friendly community vibe is what we encourage and appreciate. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to comment!
    Final Words
Nothing is too silly to be recorded in your review. Just write down what happened when you missed a trade because you were watching the latest episode of a Netflix series or you were busy talking to your sweetheart. Remember that the best time to start writing is now! Over time, writing reviews would improve your trading efficiency. The reviews could be your key to favorable trades if they're consistently and constantly updated.

Can we ride on the coattails of star institutions to the moon? Moomoo app allows us to see the positions of top funds based on 13F filings (Quotes > Explore > Star Institutions). Compared to retail investors, institutional investors (sovereign funds, hedge funds, mutual funds, insurance companies, pension funds, etc) have the advantage of immense capital, teams of dedicated analysts and connections retail investors can only dream of. They may be aware of information that retail investor are not aware of or get the information earlier and they can influence the price of a stock due to the size of their trades. Thus, the positions they take can serve as a useful clue of which stocks are undervalued or overvalued.
    $ARK Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF.US)$  $ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK.US)$  $ARK Autonomous Technology & Robotics ETF (ARKQ.US)$  $ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW.US)$  $Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO.US)$  $SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY.US)$  $Apple (AAPL.US)$  $Alphabet-C (GOOG.US)$  $Alphabet-A (GOOGL.US)$  $Tesla (TSLA.US)$  $Meta Platforms (FB.US)$  $Netflix (NFLX.US)$  $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$  $Amazon (AMZN.US)$  $Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US)$  $Lucid Group (LCID.US)$ $Berkshire Hathaway-A (BRK.A.US)$  $Berkshire Hathaway-B (BRK.B.US)$ $Tiger Global Holdings (LIST2121.US)$  $BYD Co. Having said that, institutional investors are not infallible. They have made their share of costly mistakes because they too cannot predict the future (the regulation in China against the private education sector was a prime example $New Oriental (EDU.US)$ which caught institutional funds like Temasek Holdings by surprise).
Most importantly, the structuring of one’s investment portfolio should be guided by one’s investment objective, financial needs, time horizon of investment and risk profile which would not match those of institutional investors. What is a suitable investment for the fund may not be suitable for oneself due to differences in the depth of the pocket and exposure to risks, among others.
In addition, the information from 13F may be too late for retail investors to leverage on as the price may have changed since the trades. It also does not tell us the whole story; for instance, institutional funds may take up long positions as a hedge against short positions.
While we all desire our investments to fly to the moon, the positions of star institutions should be used with care; it should be one of many things to consider as part of our research rather than something to be followed blindly.

On Monday, the day Elon Musk was named Time's Person of the Year, Senator Elizabeth Warren took to Twitter to comment on the tax code and its relationship with the CEO of  $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ and SpaceX.
Mr. Musk responded with a string of tweets, saying that he will pay more taxes than any American in history this year. "Don't spend it all at once… oh wait you did already," he wrote.
You remind me of when I was a kid and my friend's angry mom would just randomly yell at everyone for no reason."
    —— Mr. Musk said.
Elon Musk is the world's richest person with a net worth of $251 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, with the majority of that wealth tied up in Tesla and his rocket company, Space Exploration Technologies Corp. He also has a reputation for making eyebrow-raising statements on Twitter, where he has more than 66 million followers.
Musk is compensated in stock awards and doesn't accept a cash salary from Tesla. Last month, he initiated a poll on Twitter asking people whether he should sell 10% of his Tesla holdings, which voters backed. Click here to read more about Musk's ongoing stock selling plan
Mooers, what do you think of this 'war of words' between Musk and Warren?

Hi, mooers! Welcome back to MooHumor again!
The argument about whether investing should be an art or a science has lasted for quite a long time.
Someone says it's an art. Only the investor with a keen instinct for recognizing good companies can make the most returns.
Someone says it's a science. Analysis based on financial numbers and history is the only path to success.
So which one is more closer to the truth? There's no correct answer. But eventually, they are both aiming for the same purpose. It's all about making the right choices.
Now let's see how mooers use artistic or scientific ways to make better choices.
Pick your side first. You cannot be both.

2021 in Review: Grow Together to the Moon!
Elon Musk is not just an entrepreneur who starts businesses but a dreamer who wants to accomplish great things.
He wanted to reduce the carbon footprints, so $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ came out.
He also wanted to help humankind "colonize" Mars, so he established SpaceX.
He fulfills his dreams step by step and takes human civilization to the next level.
Apart from all the great works, he's like the Thanos in real life. He is visionary but controversial. His tweets are so powerful that they may cause significant damage or make quite a contribution (IDK) to our portfolio. Let's see how did he "snap" in 2021.
If you follow Musk to invest, you may find yourself playing the game of "He loves me... He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not… "
The tag of being capricious has been slapped on his back since a long time ago. Well, his unpredictable actions indeed came to us with big shocks. However, we can't deny that his companies give decent returns to shareholders.
Do you think this dude can keep surprising us and making his name the word of the year again in 2022?
Do you agree or disagree with the word "Musk" here?
Which words do you think could best describe the 2022 stock market?
Comment below with your word of the year "candidates" to let us know.
