Always Dollar Cost Average your positions.
Back in 2019 I was new to trading, and opened my first stock account. Did minimal research and just dumped one lump sum into a bluechip. Got really lucky on one of my trades ( $HongkongLand USD (H78.SG)$ ), and managed to get 9% in a day. $HAIDILAO (06862.HK)$ last year when 06862 was incurring losses, the stock price was trending above $30. Now that the company is making profit despite the pandemic, the price is falling? I think the manangement is working hard to turn the tide around. Good Job!
