IamJit : There is almost the typical narrative of home ground support. It seems that this is the case here. I bought 30k of FUTU ystd and sold them ystd itself for a small 222 loss. It is clear that without the intervention from Chinese investors, as it stands, the catalysts will all fall upon deaf ears.

IamJit cutedog OP : As per my understanding, existing users are allowed to continue using but new users cannot be onboarded. I am unaware of the current number of chinese app users but to me thats not really a problem. The problem here seems to be only Chinese investors would pump this stock and the AI craze thats ongoing means this stock could be overlooked for awhile

IamJit : It is a wider market weakness. I had another stock that was rallying 11% until the moment Joe Biden tweeted that war between Russia and Ukraine was imminent and it did a reversal and ended 10% in the red. For context the stock did no business in Russia nor Ukraine. Its just how the market is

IamJit OP GreenDay : Honestly, it may just offer an explanation to the continuous downtrend that MULN is facing. I faced this with another stock and the firm eventually filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy. Cashflow seems to be the main problem for MULN and I look to add MULN to my portfolio when there are postive signs that this concern is addressed.

IamJit : TBH the likely reason is that is insufficient retail investors buying and likewise no new major instituitional investor buying which makes this an easy stock to target for shorting. Plus with Mullen having a reputation for not delivering on its promise, big players are unlikely to gamble with this stock. I am currently not invested but if their production commences in July, I am likely to add a substantial position.

IamJit : It actually beat earnings but forecasts a narrower operating margin. If I recall, the margins will drop 25bps. Additionally, it revised downwards its forecast for H2 2023

IamJit : Markets can remain irrational longer than most can remain solvent. The truth is no one can guarantee that paypal will return to a 100. But in my opinion (not financial advice), the market has punished paypal too severely. I am not currently invested in paypal but will likely enter in the future. From a recent financial standpoint, the company is in a good place given its free cashflow and general earnings beat. The fed's pivot is not privy to me cause based on my understanding, paypal is usually used for transactions that are independent of borrowings. I would be more concerned of a likely recession that would heavily impede consumer sentiments.
