Nvidia will report their earnings after the closing . YOY increase in profit and revenue is sort of expected. The key probably lies in their forecast. If the forecast is good, then many AI related plays / stocks will likely rise together. Basically, investors are looking for sign that AI industry is still very promising and hence more upside by the end of the year.

We had yet another nice rally last week. It was likely built on the new PCE data which showed that inflation keeps cooling, and stronger-than-expected earnings reports from megacap companies are supporting the case that the U.S. could avoid a recession.
This week, we have a few more big guns from the tech industry reporting. After which, attention will be turned towards the retail sector.

We are off to a good start for the week with 3 major indices all closed green.
This came after solid big bank earnings and softer inflation report that came out last week.

Overall, the investors’ sentiment has been very positive. Many are hopeful that Fed will win the inflation war without bringing US into a recession

All 3 major indices could end the week red. Nasdaq’s eight-week winning streak could come to an end.

Powell shared that there could be 2 more rate hikes coming up. Some are calling his bluff.
