Investopedia196773 10baggerbamm : I think the general concern is the increased difficulty of putting EV fires out. If the battery is pierced it also ignites very fast and intense. New fire suppressants need to be created if EV’s are to take over.

Investopedia196773 10baggerbamm : I think your looking to far into it. I’m speaking for possible customer point of view. The fear many have is the vehicle can burst into flames and if so it will spread very rapidly. In that case they may fear being stuck in the vehicle with little time to escape. Obviously normal combustion engines can spark a fire due to various failures/collision scenarios. It is simply the fear of not having time to escape/avoid/contain the fire. I mention a better suppressant in order to get over that “hump” of fear. Another issue to take into account is the whole car is electronic, if the electronic systems fail the car shuts down instantly. Unlike, let’s say an engine failure scenario in a combustion vehicle; in that case you can sometimes still operate the vehicle somewhat. Think of it as a feeling of claustrophobia some potential customers are feeling towards ev’s. A few considerations & creations can fix that and that’s the route to go imo.

Investopedia196773 10baggerbamm : You are either very young or are the “swear you know it all type”. You are coming off argumentative when I’m simply telling you a big issue people fear with EV’s. If you listen maybe you will learn more in life. As for what you commented; none of that calms the concerns people have towards EV’s. Much more productive to physically solve a problem/concern, than attempt to convince others there’s  no problem at all. Also, just a quick comment on vehicle fires; they’re a concern regardless of fuel source. But the second a battery in a Ev is pierced & ignites a different type of fire is occurring. A type of fire that raises new concerns and requires research and innovation PERIOD.

Investopedia196773 : I would check which type of battery most cars have. It’s not lithium-ion like in EV’s. Lead acid is still the majority. The lithium has higher chances of catching fire, but that is a drawback of the increased performance. Regardless let’s not compare a 25-50lbs lithium-ion battery behind a firewall to a 1,000 pound battery directly underneath/near passengers. Also, not quite sure I asked your resume but nice to hear you made people rich. I genuinely hope you retained some of that, instead of ending up used and bitter.
