In trading on Friday, shares of $AMC Entertainment (AMC.US)$ and $GameStop (GME.US)$ crossed below their 200-day moving average.
AMC shares were trading lower last week after the CDC confirmed the first Omicron case in the US. Theaters shut down in 2020 amid the start of the pandemic and variant uncertainty has driven fears of possible lockdown measures.
AMC closed Friday’s session lower by 4.2% at $29.01, well off the stock's intraday low of $25.31.
Shares of GameStop, were trading lower as well, following worse-than-expected US job growth data.
GameStop closed Friday’s session lower by 5.1% at $172.39, off the intraday low of $159.05.
If you had $1,000 right now, would you buy the dip in AMC or GME?

There're two kinds of earthquakes. The first one is shaking up and down, and the second one is side to side. The up and down earthquake usually causes more significant damage to one's property. And the same goes for the stock market; up-down shakes cause money loss. The big shake did happen in the market on Wednesday.
Major averages fell more than 1% on Wednesday after a morning rally faded. After having advanced as much as 1.9% by late morning, the $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ gave up all its gains in the afternoon along with the $Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$ and $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$ , which fell the most on the day. All three indexes breached key technical levels during the session.
Good luck to all the mooers, and hope you won't get hurt.

$Apple (AAPL.US)$ stock closed up 3.1% on Tuesday as other stocks tumbled on concerns of the new omicron Covid variant, showing investors see the company as a safe haven during market uncertainty.
The $Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$dropped 651 points, the tech-heavy $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$fell 1.6% and the $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ was down about 1.9% on Tuesday after Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said the Fed will discuss speeding up the bond-buying taper during its December meeting.
Since the company has prodigious cash flow, allowing it to endure any slowdowns in the economy and take advantage of falling prices.
But there's no perfect company. The biggest criticism of Apple for the last five years is no new products. It's stock price has stuck in the same place for a while when others are going up. Maybe the crisis is the turning point for Apple.
