U.S.-listed Chinese stocks sank again on Tuesday. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index posted its biggest drop since November 2008, while the Hang Sang Tech Index tumbled 11% in its worst decline since the gauge was launched in July 2020.

With Valentine's Day slipping away for a few days already, did you have a joyful moment with your loved ones and the carefully selected stocks? Firstly, let's take a look at the voting results of our discussion: Do you have a love-hate relationship with stocks?
As shown above, nearly 60% of mooers reckoned that the best gift for Valentine's Day is the reversal of the falling trends of the stock market. Option 2, 3, and 5 each got about 10% of the votes. Only 8% of mooers voted for "AMC believers defeat short-sellers".
What about you? Have you received your "best gift" yet?
Why don't we move on and take a look at your fellow mooers' love-hate stories with stocks?
1. How does stock performance induce emotions?
@Moo Topwas glad to part with $PayPal (PYPL.US)$ early and hoped that $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ could continue to be his soulmate! He enjoyed a "one-night stand'' with "those who move with volume daily". View More
@cowabangaexperienced heartbreak when $Block (SQ.US)$ surged to around $300 but closed at about $100, and $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ suffered a 1/3 cut from its ATH! View More
@AlfonsoDexshared his love and faith for $CapLand Ascendas REIT (A17U.SG)$, even though significant events have so far hit REITs and the stock of his portfolio has never been green since! View More
2. How does your mind guide how you buy?
"Whichever stocks help me make money, I will love them.
Hate = When they make me lose big time."
@Milk The Cowhad confidence in $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ that the company would stay profitable in the following years even if its fundamental has changed. Loving the stock is why he chose it, so he would continue to love and wish it a better future. View More
"Smooth seas don't make good sailors. So we all have to go through setbacks to make us a better investor and partner."
@Cow Moo-neybelieved that, like selecting partners, we have to spend time assessing and understanding stocks. Even though $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ is volatile, it's worth trusting. $Meta Platforms (FB.US)$ is one of the most controversial stocks that tumbled recently. Still, we should keep an eye on it until it doesn't work anymore. View More
"Love makes you colour blind, because I love all my stock, be it red or green".
@doctorpot1fell in love with $Discovery-A (DISCA.US)$ when it crashed and increased the position at lower costs. After doing swing trading to reduce cost basis, he had a good time and enjoyed the investing journey! View More
"Love should be single-minded, but investing should learn from scumbags and allocate stocks in various industries. Whichever industry breaks out, you can make a profit."
@NANA123was positive about $AMC Entertainment (AMC.US)$ and $Tesla (TSLA.US)$, as she believes that as long as holding the good stock she thinks, luck will turn and the "value stocks will one day reflect their price."
3. Are there "love-hate" relationships between stocks?
@Mars Moootold the stories about love-hate stocks and analyzed the price trends of two pairs of stocks: $Eastman Kodak (KODK.US)$ vs. $Canon (CAJ.US)$, $Motorola Solutions (MSI.US)$ vs. $Apple (AAPL.US)$. A vote has been initiated on the preference of choosing stocks. View More
