When it comes to choosing stocks, it really comes down to how you invest. There are some companies that are worth for long term and some trading at short term will give you higher profits.
Long term
Usually these are the blue chips companies or companies you believe it will grow in. For example, you look at how AMD is winning Intel $Intel (INTC.US)$ on the news and your trust for AMD $Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US)$ is better. Then you can enter one of them as long term.
Short term
For short term, usually I would check on social media for the trends or how the community is moving. Most famously is wallstreetbets but this comes with its risk.
These are how I pick my stocks but then again I’m just a newbie. If theres any more advise I am willing to learn.

From global chip shortage to high quartely earnings, I feel we have yet see the impact of decreainf sales because there is still some surplus from chip manufacturers. For short term wise, I would think can invest on stable tech stock like $Apple (AAPL.US)$ or $Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM.US)$ but once the global shortage kicks in we will see a dip. What do the experts think?
