The sudden outbreak of the Omicron variant has turned the world into chaos. Almost without anyone noticing, 2021 is quietly coming to an end.
In the past year, we've been through a lot, good and bad. Biden was elected president of the United States, and Merkel stepped down. The postponed 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games were finally held this year. 2021 also marks the 20th anniversary of "9·11"... Elon Musk surpassed Bezos twice to become the wealthiest person on this planet. S&P 500 hit the record-high earlier this year. And as we've put it before, Omicron – a variant of COVID-19 – suddenly broke out...
What a year! For every moment, we are all witnessing history. In fact, we ourselves become part of history. Perhaps a quote can somehow describe how we feel at this moment, "There is only one kind of heroism in the world, that is, after recognizing the essence of life, you still love it." Cheers to all!
Likewise, it is also a remarkable year for moomoo. Having brought a bundle of new blockbuster features to mooers (e.g., Bracket Order, Multiple Exchanges Data of LV2 Quotes for US Stock, Star Institution, etc.), moomoo will continue to polish our products and listen to feedback from users. On last Sunday, Elon Musk tweeted a TikTok of an interview between Bill Gates and David Letterman in 1995, asking, "Given the almost unimaginable nature of the present, what will the future be?" After showing the interview clip, the TikToker who post the interview comments that what Gates said about the internet is the same as "what's happening now with Web3."
Watch the TikTok:
Web3 is the decentralized iteration of the internet based on blockchain technology, which powers nonfungible tokens, or NFTs, and underpins cryptocurrencies like bitcoin. Supporters of Web3 think , like $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ , $Apple (AAPL.US)$ , $Alphabet-A (GOOGL.US)$ , $Meta Platforms (FB.US)$. With Web3, users would ideally control their own data instead.
However, Elon Musk tweeted Web3 is not real, "it seems more like a 'marketing buzzword' than a reality."
In the comment session under the tweet, some people agree with Musk that Web3 is currently little more than a buzzword, while some commented it is just not fully real just yet.
A day later, Musk followed up saying: "Has anyone seen web3? I can't find it.”
On this Tuesday, Jack Dorsey, $Twitter (Delisted) (TWTR.US)$'s founder, also tweeted his opinion about Web3. He believes that VCs and their limited partners will be the ones who ultimately end up owning Web3.
So, what do you think about Web3? Do you agree with Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey?

Even beyond the launch of the first U.S. Bitcoin futures ETF, cryptocurrency funds notched some notable global milestones in 2021.
The number of crypto-tracking investment vehicles worldwide more than doubled to 80 from just 35 at the end of 2020. Assets soared to $63 billion, compared to $24 billion at the start of the year.
--- according to Bloomberg Intelligence data
Globally, it's obviously a phenomenon that's starting to take off. If you look at inflows on a volume perspective, not only has it been steady even with the price corrections that Bitcoin is notoriously famous for, but you're seeing a lot of institutions jump in.”
--- Leah Wald, chief executive of crypto asset manager Valkyrie Investments, said on Bloomberg's "QuickTake Stock" streaming program.
Grayscale Investments LLC is the largest asset manager in the digital-assets space, with the $30 billion $Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC.US)$ ranking as the world's largest crypto fund.
The First U.S. bitcoin-linked ETF $ProShares Bitcoin ETF (BITO.US)$ incepted in October, which recevied a lot of attention. It only took two days for the fund to accumulate $1 billion.
Unlike an ETF directly connected to spot Bitcoin, the futures-backed products such as BITO are vulnerable to so-called associated with managing contracts. It's likely that investor demand would be even higher if physically backed funds were allowed to launch in the U.S., according to Bloomberg Intelligence.
I can't help but think that the assets in this space would be even larger if we had more efficient structures, like spot ETFs, in the U.S.”
--- said James Seyffart, Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analyst.
Watch now: What crypto's breakout year means for the market in 2022
Indeed, flows into the ProShares fund have stalled, with the ETF down more than 30% since its mid-October launch. Meanwhile, similar products from Valkyrie and VanEck have less than $70 million in assets combined.
Valkyrie's Wald is optimistic that flows will pick up in 2022. Institutional money managers are likely waiting to see how the U.S. futures-backed ETF handle the roll costs, she said.
That specific vehicle, I think a lot of money managers want to look at the metrics before jumping in. We're excited about what next year has to hold.”
--- Wald said.

Sometimes patience pays. If you have high conviction in a stock, and have done due diligence, you should not lose faith when it is going sideways. I lost huge opportunities selling too early on Tesla and Apple. Of course, everyone’s profit timeframe or trading style is different, and frequent trades may be fine for others.

to continue a mistake is easier than to correct a mistake. the sooner the mistake is corrcted , the lesser agony and loss suffered. Its always a struggle to admit defeat abd cut loss

I bought noble and held it till it was delisted
it had very low margin and huge debts so it's a mistake to buy into companies with poor fundamentals
