Many people like to plan their getaways during long weekends due to public holidays but I’m the exception. I prefer to travel during off-peak periods as I dread long queues (like when crossing over to Johor), large crowds and the air fares and accommodation will be cheaper. South Korea from Monday (Nov 6) will reimpose a ban on short-selling shares at least until June to promote a "level playing field" for retail and institutional investors, financial authorities said on Sunday.
This probably caused a huge spike in the market. All the heavily shorted stocks in Korean market will be interesting to watch. Price may fall after the short squeeze is over.
