as per any investment, there are risks to lose money. i think the mindset is the most important and first is to validate why you went into the investment in the first place and if fundamentals have changed, time to take loss and learn from it.
i believe to stay in the game as tech as a long term fundamental is here to stay with the impact of covid and the global trend. but to keep ample dry powder to take opportunistic buying and averaging down since stocks have been moving up and down!
My first investment in 2022 is $Futu Holdings Ltd (FUTU.US)$ . bought during the dip in the first few days of the new year and it has went up more than 10%. continue to accumulate on dips and sell when it reaches my target price $100!!!![]()

Goals for 2022 is to continue to grow my stocks portfolio about 10-20% by investing into value and long term growth stocks. for value stocks, i hope to get around 4-5% dividend for the anoumt invested while the growth stocks to see price increase by 5-10%.
Hope to achieve the above by keeping aside more cash and invest regularly and when opportunities arise over the year.

2021 trading journey has been a roller coaster ride. achieved profits for some trades but taking a hit for some of the china tech stocks. lessons learnt are that good value stocks still cannot beat govt regulations and trade wars and good to wait and see before going in. however, long term fundamentals are important as well and hope will get rewarded in the long run! wishing for a much better run in 2022! ![]()

I stick to long term investment because I believe in looking for companies with good fundamental and growth potential. the approach is to look for good entry price when there are weaknesses and to revaluate from time to time if its fundamental is still sound.
