$SNDL Inc (SNDL.US)$ Sundial presently has three operating segments: cannabis finance, cannabis cultivation and production, and cannabis retail sales. The recent Q3 report shows the results of the Spiritleaf acquisition and of the company's cannabis financing activities.
The company's acquisition of Alcanna and its controlling interest of Nova Cannabis should prove to be the largest boost to the company's financial performance. Alcanna operates 171 liquor retail outlets in Alberta, Canada and has a majority stake in Nova Cannabis and its 63 retail outlets. Alcanna's last quarterly report showed a revenue of C$189M, which far outweighs Sundial's current numbers and promises a higher overall valuation for Sundial.
Sundial will have a large market reach with revenue from 341 retail locations, although it is still unclear what the company will receive financially from the Nova Cannabis retail outlets. Sundial continues its cannabis cultivation and production with fewer products because of the shrinking demand in the Canadian markets. The company is focusing on higher THC strains and premium brands. There is not any additional news about Sundial's financing activities with SunStream Bancorp or their own capital infusion projects.
