Matthew Smith72 : I've only been doing this for less than a year. I jumped in head first and started watching all the tutorials cause I knew absolutely nothing about any of this.  it quickly became overwhelming and I took a step back because I was burning the candle at both ends, between this and my job.  I've been up and down. good thing is I haven't lost my initial investment capital. knock on wood...lol . I've actually made a couple bucks. my original thought was to get into a long term investment. so when I'm down on any particular stock I just wait it out till it's back up. I've  been lucky with that so far but that's only till I understand Options trading so I can set up a stop loss situation . I have my work cut out for me .  I'm slowly going back to the beginning of the tutorials on Options and practicing with paper trading till I know what I'm doing.  thanks for taking the time to text. have a great day and profitable trading .

I'm gonna start paper trading and try my hand at it there . that way I'm not putting myself in the poor house...lol... but I'm having trouble finding time to get started. I have a day job too

Matthew Smith72 : hi, sorry to bother you. I'm new to trading last week when it was in the high $70's I wanted to do exactly that but wasn't sure what to do. I wanted to set up a stop loss with Options but I didn't know how to set it up using the shares I have.  it looked like it would only allow me to sell someone else's shares, 100 of them. I have a lot less than that myself. is that why I couldn't use my shares ? I wasn't sure so I didn't take any chances. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. thanks
