Investing in US stocks was my choice to re-enter the stock market after suffering losses in the Malaysia and Hong Kong markets for years. At that time, I did a lot of research, especially during the three years of the Wuhan pandemic from 2019 to 2022 when the whole society came to a standstill. I spent about 4 to 5 hours every day looking, reading, and listening, and the time invested yielded satisfactory results. I bought SE at 80 and sold at 302, NKLA at 20 and sold at 80, Silver at 30 and sold at 100. Some were not cashed out due to bankruptcy resulting in total loss. There were also two or three new EV stocks that plummeted by 90% in losses. Since I didn't go all in and consistently used averaging to enter the market, my portfolio is still profitable to this day. Some of my most successful investments include Tesla, Amazon, and the recent hot stock Nvidia, with an average profit margin of 500% to 600% (including stock splits). If I had left the market due to losses, I wouldn't have enjoyed the sweet return on investment. I have always emphasized that the average inflation rate of 1.5% to 3% means cash depreciates every year, especially after the pandemic and during the US-China trade war. The global supply imbalance has caused prices to rise worldwide, making it hard for people to keep up (Malaysia is okay, but Taiwan is a bit extreme). Bank deposits with 3% to 5% interest are suitable for people with large assets. If you want to invest and get rich, besides US stocks, I don't see any other market that can bring super high returns. Looking at global trends, the USA still has the most capital, making its stock market the safest and most diverse.

#Investing in US stocks: Buying into NVIDA's pre-earnings strategy
Today is the 21st, and on the 28th is the highly anticipated NVIDA Q2 earnings report. Various major institutional funds and investment banks have been buying in heavily and giving positive comments. In theory, the earnings should be quite good. After dropping from 140 to the lowest at 99, then back up to 130, with a 30% increase, daily trading volume is in the billions of US dollars. Without a sufficient number of participating professional institutional funds, it is impossible to achieve this scale based solely on retail investors. Therefore, I estimate that after 8/28, it will hit a new high, possibly reaching the price range of 140 to 160. Once it reaches this price range, it will be time to start selling for cash (at least that's what I would do), and then wait for a pullback to re-enter the market.
🌞Uncle's Opinion: The stock market cannot always go up because there are short-selling institutions making big profits through short selling. The higher the stock price, the easier it is to trigger the FOMO effect in the market sentiment. Any slight volatility will lead to panic selling, everyone rushing to the exit. 🫵 As soon as you reach a certain level of profit, don't try to squeeze out the last bit of profit and end up losing money. The market collapses in optimism and is reborn in despair.
