MitchBrannon 104063221: we're all on here trying to make money. we have developed a system where the best and brightest all go private sector to get rich. like I'm busting my ass at a factory six days a week and do swing/day trading on the side. I'm not in any position to run for office even locally because of how much it would cost to beat out our local incumbent for even state house of reps. so literally most of us interested in political service can't afford to run for it
MitchBrannon Yevganie: indeed, my mother (65) and I were lamenting the fact money in politics has become so prevalent in the US it's a key contributing factor to the corporations gaining so much power in the past 4 decades
