I will share one of the simple strategies that I often use in live trading. Although this strategy does not involve actual stock trading, it helps me monitor the market and make short-term trading decisions.
My short-term trades are based on index moving averages and stock moving averages for decision making. Especially for China's A-shares. The moomoo alert settings can only be set for stocks, not for indices (such as SSE Composite Index 000001). So I used the Algo feature to create a strategy to achieve similar alert functions.
During the usage, I found that the variable cannot be used to print symbols in the print card of moomoo's preset cards and provided feedback in the Community (as shown in the screenshot below). I wonder if the moomoo R&D team has improved as mentioned in the comments by the third quarter of 2024.
I would rate moomoo's Algo feature 7 out of 10. Based on the sample strategies provided, experienced users can modify them to create their own strategies and use them for live trading. The functionality explanations, strategy AI features, and the need to run on a local PC can be further improved.
