A super amateur here, having many difficulties using the app. Not a tech savvy person and never good with stocks lingo yet there’s way too many things to read!
Till date, I have only bought 1 stock which has been dropping since then (paper loss of 34%). This stock was a FOMO stock (seeing friend earning 20% and feeling FOMO). But ever since the drop in that stock, I had second thoughts on entering. After which, I had been trying all through paper trading.
Several stocks in mind that I wanted to buy but realised I barely know about the Company/stock. Few months into it, seeing the results which is total regrets of not entering. But I will take it as a learning curve as there will still be stocks with loads of potential to grow. Probably this lesson is more for the heart/emotion – regrets of not entering and self-blaming for not taking action. But there’s so many “what-ifs” – What-if entering and the result is the same as the 1 and only stock I bought. Too many factors to consider. But really and seriously – emotions ought to be separated otherwise it affects the entire process of buying and selling. If the stock is too high to enter, grieve and get over. Move on to the next stock that has potential! 💪
Sharing some stocks that I have been looking at or rather in my paper trading:
    US:
    1. $Apple (AAPL.US)$
    2. $Lululemon Athletica (LULU.US)$
    3. $McDonald's (MCD.US)$ – Despite those talks of eating healthy, come on, we know that the queues never fail in these places though it can be unhealthy
A humour here: An apple with exercise makes you able to eat MCD and not feeling guilty for eating fried food 😬😬😬
    HK:
    1. $TENCENT (00700.HK)$
    2. $BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)$
    3. $BABA-W (09988.HK)$
    China:
    1. $Kweichow Moutai (600519.SH)$ – I MUST EMPHAISE BIGGEST REGRET (31% gain!)
    2. $BANK OF CHINA (03988.HK)$
    3. $BYD Company Limited (002594.SZ)$
Aside from that, I would say that things would go fast track if there’s more guidance with Moomoo App – probably I am the only one not understanding how the app works and am afraid to ask as I am not sure if my questions might be too stupid. Hence for me with the question “What works and what could be improved?” – it would be the “For Dummies 101 on moomoo app”.
Lost by not entering, won by not entering too.You will only find out by ENTERING and maybe Holding?🤭

Stock futures were slightly higher Wednesday evening following the second trading day in which equities climbed higher, as investors looked past earlier jitters about the spread of the omicron Covid variant.
In regular trading, the $Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$ gained 0.7%, bringing its two-day rally to more than 800 points. The $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ climbed 1% to 4,696.56 and now sits 1% away from its record. The $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$ climbed 1.2%. All three averages are on track to end the week higher.
Consumer discretionary and tech stocks were among the biggest gainers on the day Wednesday. $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ shares jumped 7% after CEO Elon Musk said he's reached his goal of selling 10% of his shares for tax reasons.
    S&P 500 Movers for Wednesday (12/22)
Biden’s bipartisan infrastructure package allocated $7.5 billion for EV chargers, but Wall Street had assigned greater significance to the Build Back Better incentives which are now unlikely to pass. Democratic West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin effectively doomed the bill Sunday, saying he wouldn’t vote in favor in the 50-50 Senate.
Shares of electric vehicle companies soon tumbled on Monday.
The stocks of EV start-ups such as  $Lordstown Motors (RIDE.US)$ ,  $Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (FFIE.US)$  and  $Nikola (NKLA.US)$  all shed more than 7% Monday.  $Rivian Automotive (RIVN.US)$ , hit a new low Monday of $88.40 a share.
Shares of other automakers such as  $Tesla (TSLA.US)$  and  $General Motors (GM.US)$  – both of which no longer qualify for federal EV tax credits but would have under Build Back Better – also lost ground during the trading session.
The EV incentives under the Build Back Better plan include up to $12,500 per vehicle and are viewed as critical to spur consumer demand in EVs, which are priced far higher than their traditional internal combustion engine counterparts.

    Hi, mooers!
Has this ever happened to you? After you bought a stock, its price started to go down. The price bounced back right after you let go of it. It seems like we are somewhat being cursed because the market goes against our moves. Have you ever thought of why this happened and how to avoid it? This article might help!
Spoiler: There's a chance for you to win points if you read till the end.
Why should we review our trades?
Writing reviews is one of the most effective ways to evaluate our past performance. A comprehensive review should include the assessment and analysis of your progress and mistakes. Reviews could be the basis for better planning and decision-making in the long run.
Please take a look at what @Jamesimsaid about reviewing trades:  WHY DO YOU WANT TO REVIEW?
    How to review your trades?
Tip 1: Record the actions and results
You can write down your trading ticker, the P/L, transaction details like entry and exit points, order details like buying and selling prices, etc. Details of your actions and results are essential to the reviews and analysis afterward.
    Check out the examples below:
Tip 2: Write down your observations
Apart from the records of your actions, reviews can also include observations. You can always reflect on yourself, the companies you are watching, or the overall stock market. If you are a daytrader, you can take screenshots of intraday charts and comment on them. Besides, technical indicators are helpful when you are trying to uncover patterns. We've found that most trading reviews concentrate on self-analysis and include little about the related companies and market sentiments. Let's see how to do it appropriately below.
"Leap of Faith with Leap Option Play" by @Moo Top
"Era of electronic car competition" by @Jamesim
Tip 3: Accept your mistakes and celebrate your progress
With the records of actions and observations mentioned above, you can dig deeper to uncover the mistakes and progress you've made. In this process, there shouldn't be any hard feelings. We can celebrate and learn from both failures and successes. Reviews enable you to keep tabs on your growth as a trader and the weak links of your trade. Only by constantly improving yourself can you become more confident. An excellent example is as follows: Watch out Trailing Stop!!
Tip 4: Monitor and control your emotions
Being indulged in emotions, negative or positive, could lead to impulsive actions. A review of your trade allows you to note down how you feel when encountering a specific situation. This practice enables you to accept and acknowledge the emotions behind every transaction.
Example to review your emotion "Lost by not entering, won by not entering too." @Moo to Moon FTW, and @Ganar Poco
Trading reviews are powerful learning tools. Writing them is part of the excellent mechanism that helps you discover what you want and what suits you the best. A couple of months later, you may start to uncover the patterns of your trades, which means your trading system is taking shape!
How can moomoo empower your review?
moomoo's trading notes allow you to record the details of your current position target and the profits and losses. It also records the number of stocks and the frequency of your trades within a certain period. Your review could become much more straightforward and precise with the trading notes. Let's take a look at how to use the "review" features on moomoo!
In addition, by reviewing your trade with moomoo, you will be able to exchange notes with other mooers. A friendly community vibe is what we encourage and appreciate. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to comment!
    Final Words
Nothing is too silly to be recorded in your review. Just write down what happened when you missed a trade because you were watching the latest episode of a Netflix series or you were busy talking to your sweetheart. Remember that the best time to start writing is now! Over time, writing reviews would improve your trading efficiency. The reviews could be your key to favorable trades if they're consistently and constantly updated.
Share your tips for reviewing trades and comment below, and we will select the top 10 users with the most likes to give away 88 points reward!

    Weekly market recap
Stock futures held steady in overnight trading Sunday after the S&P 500 notched its best week since February at a fresh record close, rebounding from a big sell-off triggered by fears of the omicron coronavirus variant.
$Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$ futures traded 35 points higher. $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ futures inched up 0.1% and $NASDAQ 100 Index (.NDX.US)$ futures were flat.
The overnight action followed a strong week on Wall Street as investors shrugged off a hot inflation reading. The blue-chip Dow gained 4% last week, breaking a four-week losing streak with its best weekly performance since March. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite jumped 3.8% and 3.6%, respectively, last week, both posting their best weekly performance since early February.
Investors digested a jump in headline inflation data, which came in at 6.8% in November year-over-year for the biggest surge since 1982. The print was marginally higher than the 6.7% Dow Jones estimate.
Here's a look at the return of S&P 500 sectors
    This week ahead in focus
Investors this week are set to focus on the Federal Reserve's final monetary policy decision of 2021, which may include more signaling of a monetary policy adjustment amid elevated inflation and a strengthening economic backdrop.
Members of the Federal Open Market Committee are set to hold their two-day policy-setting meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday, after which they will release their monetary policy statement and hold a press conference with Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. The December statement will also be accompanied by an updated Summary of Economic Projections — the first since September — outlining members' expectations for economic conditions and interest rates over the next few years.
Many economists now expect that this month's meeting will serve as the platform for Fed officials to increase the rate of tapering of their asset-purchase program. For more than a year-and-a-half during the pandemic, the Fed bought Treasuries and agency mortgage-backed securities (MBS) at a clip of $120 billion per month, with this program comprising a key tool in supporting the virus-stricken economy. Last month, the Fed began winding down this program, slowing its purchases by $15 billion per month in each of November and December as the economy showed signs that it could continue to recover from the pandemic without the added monetary policy support.
    Retail sales
One key piece of economic data out this week will be November retail sales, offering a look at the strength of the consumer in the midst of the holiday shopping season.
Consensus economists are expecting to see retail sales rise by 0.8% in November compared to October, according to Bloomberg data. This would slow compared to October's 1.7% monthly increase, but still represent a fourth straight monthly increase.
"The gain should be supported by holiday sales with clothing showing the biggest sequential gain among major sectors," Bank of America economist Michelle Meyer estimated in a note on Friday. "That said, we do think the risks are skewed to the downside given the sizable upside surprise in October's sales."
The bigger-than-expected rise in retail sales in October stemmed from strength in a variety of categories. Non-store retailers, or e-commerce platforms, posted a 4% sales increase, while gasoline station sales and electronics and appliance stores saw sales grow 3.9% and 3.8%, respectively. Some economists suggested the monthly jump likely stemmed from consumers doing their holiday shopping earlier this year to try and get ahead of supply chain disruptions and shipping delays.
Other private data on consumption for November came in strong, further suggesting another solid monthly rise in retail sales. Adobe Analytics said in an update published Nov. 30 that consumers had already spent $109.8 billion online between Nov. 1 to Nov. 29, with this figure growing 11.9%, compared to last year.

$Tesla (TSLA.US)$ CEO Elon Musk sold shares worth $963.2 million on Thursday, as per filings made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Check out Musk's ongoing stock selling plan:
Today, Musk said he is 'thinking of' quitting his jobs and becoming an influencer after selling off more than $1billion of Tesla shares.
The Tesla CEO, 50, took to $Twitter (Delisted) (TWTR.US)$ on Thursday to ask his 65.8million followers what they thought of his idea to leave his roles and focus on social media instead.
"I'll coach u on how to get YouTube views!" —— a YouTube influencer replied to which Musk responded with a joined hands emoji.
Just a few days ago, Musk was spotted in a mohawk hairstyle which he claims he did himself.
During a conference call in January, Musk revealed that he would like having some "free time on his hands as opposed to just working day and night."
It would be nice to have a bit more free time on my hands as opposed to just working day and night, from when I wake up to when I go to sleep 7 days a week. Pretty intense."
