Thanks for the informative piece! I feel that the supply and demand of the prices can only be used to determine the short term outlook of the stock price. These prices might still be highly affected by market sentiment / meme stock price volatility. It is still necessary to do our own research on the company whose stock you feel is undervalued and believe will grow in the longer term. “You’ll only learn after you’ve experienced/failed, but always do your due diligence before going into it.” Not only did I hear this before I told my dad I wanted to start investing in stocks, but this is a phrase I constantly hear from him as I grew up. Since young, whenever I would want to delve into certain things / travel overseas for exchange studies, I would need to do my research and share my findings with my dad. I always thought that it was troublesome and boring to do so when I was younger, but now that I look back on it, he’s helped me develop an inquisitive mind. It’s not that he don’t trust my decisions, but he wanted me to understand the background, the pros and cons and how I could work smart and hard instead of just working hard. I just want to thank him for his support and guidance through the years.
