$SoFi Technologies (SOFI.US)$ People’s emotions are what control the market. Should i sell today to pay taxes. Or i need a fast day trade put or call option. Or I just but 2000 shares. Volume-Price Relationship - Reveals the market forces behind price changes.
Volume-Price Relationship: Core analysis tool in the stock market.
Volume-Price Relationship is one of the important foundations of stock technical analysis, used to reveal the market forces behind price changes. By analyzing the interaction between volume and price, investors can better determine the authenticity of market trends and possible future developments.

1. The basic principles of the relationship between volume and price
(1) The significance of Volume
Volume represents the level of activity of buying and selling transactions in the market, and is an important reflection of market sentiment:
High Volume: usually indicates a high level of agreement in the market on the current price trend, and may be a signal of trend continuation.
Low trading volume: usually reflects a lack of market interest in the current price, which may indicate trend exhaustion or increased wait-and-see sentiment.
(2) The interaction between price and trading volume
The core of the volume-price relationship lies in whether the trading volume supports the rise and fall of prices:
Volume increases, price rises: When prices rise, trading volume increases synchronously, indicating strong buying interest, and the trend may continue.
Volume decreases, price falls: When prices fall, the trading volume decreases, indicating reduced selling pressure, which may be a normal adjustment.
Volume increases as prices fall: When prices drop, trading volume expands, indicating increased selling pressure, which may be a signal of trend reversal.
Volume shrinks as prices rise: When prices rise but trading volume decreases, it indicates insufficient upward momentum, possibly indicating a risk of false breakout.
