My plan is to spent more time with the people who cares for me ~ my aging parents who are 73 and 77 years old. Holidays will be made perfect through creating the small moments of spending time with them whether in Singapore or abroad. 😄

Many people like to plan their getaways during long weekends due to public holidays but I’m the exception. I prefer to travel during off-peak periods as I dread long queues (like when crossing over to Johor), large crowds and the air fares and accommodation will be cheaper. What do I do then during long weekends?

Here are some public holidays in Singapore in 2025 that may help with a public holiday strategy:
• September 6–14: Term 3 break, which gives students a break before the final term and time to prepare for exams.

Our economy has been doing well but our pockets aren't necessarily feeling the love yet. With the looming US election and our own elections coming up, it's shaping up to be a possibly volatile future.

A long weekend for 3 days is not enough for me to travel.
I will combine my annual leave during Chinese New Year for extended vacations. Just my plan to take leave on Jan 29-31 and enjoy a 9-day break. Just spend time with family but no travel this time.
Also plan to take leave on April 15-17 and 21 to make Good Friday a 1-week holiday. As for the destination, might go to Japan during the Good Friday holiday, as that's the time for seeing sakura! A good spring f...
