On the 23rd, Juan, the CEO of the US semiconductor giant nvidia, revealed that design flaws affecting production of their latest AI semiconductor 'Blackwell' have been corrected with the cooperation of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, whom they have outsourced production to.
In March, nvidia announced Blackwell. They had planned to ship it from April to June, but it was delayed.
Juan, the CEO, pointed out that there was a design flaw in Blackwell during his visit to Denmark. He stated, "Due to the flaw, the yield rate decreased. It is 100% Nvidia's responsibility." He further explained, "TSMC helped resolve the yield rate issue and resume production of Blackwell."
Juan recently indicated at an event hosted by the US financial giant Goldman Sachs that shipments of Blackwell are expected to begin in the October-December quarter.
