reddaysonly : Think of it this way, generally stocks are vulnerable to day to day noise if there isnt any news (i.e. new investors joining, old one selling). In the case of stocks such as MULN, which hasn’t stabilised, there is more reluctance for new investors to join than old investors leaving (due to its uncertainty). As a result, prices are likely to fall when old investors want to cash out to invest elsewhere since this stock hasnt been moving for awhile. This will push down the price. Coupled with the fact that multiple investors on such stocks are here to pump and dump, earn the spread, this makes the stock extremely volatile. Generally people would avoid this stock altogether if they dont believe in the long term of it, or if they believe delisting or bankruptcy would come. So other than extremely positive news, stock prices for such stocks would always linger or drop.

reddaysonly : Network effect. Just like how amazon, google, facebook works, in such an industry, the first mover generally has an advantage because of the community it builds up over time.
