We had PM George. He is passionate about user-friendly features and strives to deliver the best services to our mooers. His personal experiences made him to understand the underlying needs of mooers better.
We had PM Jane. She constantly optimizes the features as if she is polishing diamonds.
PM Jason believed that “Art comes from life, so does a great product.” The secret of developing an excellent product is to capture the small changes in our daily lives. Our competitiveness lies in the pursuit of innovation.
We had our "Leopard," PM Arlene. She is a highly efficient PM who pursues the ultimate user experience and quickly responds to the request of others.
Last but not least, we had PM Ivy, who claimed herself as the "guardian" of Moo. She loves freedom and advocates that all mooers are free to talk, share, and connect in our community. We will always be there for each other, and together we are one.

PM George: Yes, it is. We have done some measures, like trading password confirm and the confirmation pop-up window.
Currently, we can only choose ONE order type for ALL selected stocks at each batch closing submission. The defaults order type is market type, but you also can choose the limit type with the latest price.

For this post, let's take short-term trading as intra-day trading that last from seconds to minutues. It's commonly termed as scalp, intrad-day swing trading. I'll use scalp here.

Keep your emotions away from the charts. My personal technical analysis of price action in charts relies on simply RSI (14 length) and chart patterns. Identifying the right patterns and how to utilise a trading strategy with it is a crucial complimentary tool I use for entry/exit.

Bought  $Tesla(TSLA.US)$ back in 2017 for about 300$ pre split. Sold it in 2018 for a tiny profit and to decrease my cost basis. They were swinging between 200-300 all the time.
@Dadacai  Some Pointers for Day Trading
I will give a brief overview of the VWAP indicator which is often used by day traders. Trade when the mind is clear and alert. Play small. Plan your entry and exit. A good knowledge of technical indicators is required.
@GT1982  How Did I Started Short Term Trading
I started off as a short term trader before finding my style as a long term investor. No personal feelings should be involved in trading. Only fundamentals, technicals and numbers should be the deciding factors.

Swing trading is most useful when the market condition is volatile, without long clear trend. Currently the market does seem so. Thus, it may be a good time to look more into swing trading, or quick-entry-quick-exit trades.
@Jin1978  Some personal tips on short-term trading
If u cannot stomach the risk (10% to 30% movement usually), stay away from risky trades. Set a cut-loss price. Remember to withdraw your profits every now and then! Don’t keep pumping all your profits for the next trade!

Read the news, consider different scenarios, weigh up the odds and technical analysis. In this event that any of the above scenarios do materialise, go straight to your price charts and use technical analysis to find entry and exit points for the long or short trade you have chosen.

My favourite technical setup is VWAP + 9EMA and 20EMA, looking at 1min and 5min candle stick. Do your own due diligence (DYODD) on the stocks that you want to day trade with.

Reddit, the home of WallStreetBets, announced on Wednesday that it has confidentially submitted a draft registration statement with the SEC to go public.
The San Francisco-based company did not determine the number of shares to be offered and the price range for the proposed offering. The listing is expected to occur after the U.S. SEC completes its review process, subject to market and other conditions.
Reddit was valued at $10 billion by investors in a funding round this summer, didn't disclose what valuation it would seek in the IPO.­­
--- according to Bloomberg, 'Reddit is raising funding at a $10 billion value' published in this August.
At the time of that funding round, the company said that it had reached $100 million in advertising revenue during the second quarter of 2021, up 192% from a year prior.

2021 Meme Stock Frenzy
Reddit saw a surge of interest this year after a forum on the site, WallStreetBets, jolted the stock market. The WSB community currently have 11.3 million members (they usually call themselves 'retards', 'degenerates', 'apes'). The trading frenzy, driven largely by post on the site, whipsawed the prices of $GameStop(GME.US)$, $AMC Entertainment(AMC.US)$, and silver. The result was a rewriting of the previously understood rules of Wall Street trading.

2021 is an unusual year for the stock market. Despite the worry of inflation and pandemic, the US stock market is on its longest bull-run in history. Kicked off with the mania of WSB, the market keeps heading north and ends at nearly all-time highs.
Event 1: WSB Beat Hedge Funds
Date: Jan 2021
At the beginning of this year, a group of millennials revolved around $GameStop(GME.US)$, a retail company that struggled with selling video games, to fight against hedge funds. After WallStreetBets pumped GameStop's stock price to unprecedented heights, some institutional investors who shorted the company's stocks almost bankrupted. Following the rule of "Go big or go home", WSB turned to other "meme stocks" such as $AMC Entertainment(AMC.US)$ , whose stock price soared by 455% in Q2.
Mooer's takeaways: What makes you profit or lose from the market?

1) DYODD
Do your own due diligence as always. To summarise this, it means never copy or act on an investment idea based on hearsay without studying the company first.
2) FOMO.
Fear of missing out. Many investors, new and veteran alike, are guilty of this. Very often this leads to a painful loss. In short, do not chase a stock just because many are doing it. Study the company fundamentals first which essentially is related to lingo No. 1.

Event 2: Global Chip Shortages
Date: May 2021
The global shortage of microchips has become a severe problem in 2021. The gap between insufficient supply and surging demand causes dilemmas for companies desperate for chips. Semiconductors are necessary for cars, PCs, smartphones, etc. Manufacturers of these products are facing an unprecedented situation. However, a crisis for one could be an opportunity for another. Since the market crashed in March 2020, the $PHLX Semiconductor Index(.SOX.US)$ has more than doubled.

The key challenges are:
1) The inability to meet the market's demands. Since 2019, there is an acute shortage of chips' supply globally. These high demands for chips may stretch into 2023. This will incur a 27% loss if there is a 3 months' delay in manufacturing.
2) Hence the cost of manufacturing may not meet planned budget. After weighing through both the positive and negative aspects of semiconductor investment, I opt to follow my heart and favours the trading of quality semiconductor shares as a long term investment.

1) Choose stocks I have confidence in and don't mind holding for the long term.
2) Split the purchases into 3 or more lots at different timings to average out the cost.

Metaverse is regarded as the next generation of the Internet by some institutions. It's a can't-miss concept in 2021 that may lead to an investing buzz in the next decade. To attract market attention, tech giants have laid out their versions of the metaverse. Event 5: EV Mania

On October 21, $Tesla(TSLA.US)$ released the 2021 Q3 earnings that beat the market's expectations. Its stock price increased by 22% in a week. When Tesla's stock price hit a record high of 1243.49 dollars, the shareholders started to buckle up. Meanwhile, other EV stocks were also growing fast. Rivian, a rival of Tesla, saw its price soared by 120% five trading days after it got listed. Lucid also yielded good results.

Brazilian fintech giant Nubank is going public on December 9 under ticker "NU" $Nu Holdings(NU.US)$ . Shares should be priced between $8 and $9, depending on demand. The fintech is currently the largest digital bank in the world by number of member accounts.
The company backed by billionaire Warren Buffett's $Berkshire Hathaway-A(BRK.A.US)$ offers digital accounts and international credit cards without fees and currently has 48 million members. 
According to a ranking by CBInsights, Nubank is the 7th most valuable unicorn worldwide, behind fintechs Stripe, Klarna and Revolut.
