ShadowK : Overall, I think the fest has been fun. There are interesting topics to listen to, but we are also busy getting stickers and freebies. Rather than complaining, let me propose some suggestions for a more positive experience.
1. online check-in to reduce waiting time. show confirmation to get goodie bag. not sure what the wrist band is for as no one is checking. the check-in code may be a fast way to enter and reenter.
2. external queuing. knowing how long u need to check-in, and the total number of people attending, you know how many counters determine how long the queue.
3. booth management, use the space at the top. be it instructions, QR codes and all be displayed instead of crowding at the booth
4. booth queue. use q-pole or stickers on the floor to guide who goes where. games q, sticker q, could be better managed.
5. bigger space, if you know the expected crowd, you can cater a bigger space. U likely need 2 halls or need 2 days. Avoid clashing with big events like NDP rehearsals.
6. I dont like the side stage unless the topics are totally different. Else it is just too distracting.
7. Rubbish, there should be sufficient rubbish points to dispose the unwanted.
Just some pointers to consider. I know you guys have put in lots of effort to make it right. Next year, let's make it even better. Cheers.
