Not truly understanding penny stocks.
Got hosed. Got wise and Got to studying about buying volatile stocks. Hindsight is 20/20 but I Digress.
Still Very Important lesson learned...
Do the DD on Everything and don't fall victim to what people say is a good buy because in the market no one can predict exactly what's going to happen.
Only trust your DD and if it happens to coincide with your research you maybe on to something. Trust in your self and know when to take profits over greed.

A recent $Amazon(AMZN.US$ test of a $Rivian Automotive(RIVN.US$ electric van showed that the battery's performance is below the EV startup's claims.
According to the report, the battery drained 40% faster than usual if the van's heating or cooling was on. Rivian said in its prospectus that the all-electric delivery vans would have a range between 120 miles and 150 miles, depending on size.
Rivian shares fell 8.2% to 118.11 on Monday. RIVN stock rose 67% in the first few days after its IPO, to 129.95. But shares closed down 1% last week after a wild ride.
Among other EV stocks, China-based $XPeng(XPEV.US$ edged up 1.1% after briefing reclaiming a buy range intraday. $NIO Inc(NIO.US$surged 7.3%, while $Li Auto(LI.US$ advanced 1.9%.
Among U.S. automakers, $Lucid Group(LCID.US$ reversed opening gains and dropped 8.2%, $General Motors(GM.US$ rose 3.7% and Ford (F) was up 5.4%. U.S.-traded shares of Germany's $VOLKSWAGEN A G(VWAGY.US$ dipped 0.4%.
It seems that there are formidable enemies everywhere.

Not going to lie, I’ve never even thought of shorting a company, but this is insane. Up to $157 in pre market with no reason to be valued at $137 billion. For reference, Tesla, most famous for being overvalued and the stock still goes up is trading at only 7.3x the valuation of RIVN. Yet RIVN has 0 sales, 0 revenue, 0 profit. This thing is going to fall hard. Just a matter of how long these buyers can hold the price this high.

No pain no gain. Heart pain but never cry. If have the holding power just hold on to it and wait for recovery. Investment is to me is always the extra $ that I dont use or need it within that year. I can wait.
