The Golden goose : maybe this was his way to repay Elon. doesn't help that steel and aluminum imports have tariffs on them now. He wants to grow mfg in US by deterring companies from mfg outside. But those cars mfg in US will have reciprocal tariffs if exported to Canada, Mexico or anywhere else lol. so it's a mfg what your own market can consume?
