    Against the backdrop of the global covid-19 pandemic, 2021 has brought new challenges and opportunities to this year's trading. We responded with laughter and tears. This post compiles six stories that present a vivid picture of mooers' investing experiences. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy the stories!
    Spoiler: There's a chance to get a bonus if you read till the end.
    "Never forget why you started, so your mission can be completed."
    Every incredible adventure started with a baby step. When we look back to the very beginning of our trading journey, we ask ourselves why we got started in the first place? Realistically speaking, money is what we all are after, but what made us brave enough to take the first step? Here is one of the most satisfying answers.
    "She Has Inspired Me" said by @HuatLady. His trading journey started with his 21 birthday gift – a $100 saving bank account book from his parents.
    "I was touched because that was her virtuous desire for me to be independent, and to make effective decisions, not only for the trading field but throughout my life for a better Future."
    Making profits is not the ultimate goal of investing. What you can learn in the process will get you further in life.
    "The only way to overcome bad luck is working hard."
    Novices deserve a bit of "beginner's luck." "Did I have beginner's luck when I first started trading?" @cowabangawas quite confident at first because of the money he made in the market. After that, there're setbacks, and there's luck again.
    "As I trade along, the results are certainly compelling! I dare say I have one of the finest beginner's luck out there for my first few wins at the market provided trading returns in folds. It was truly an amazing experience given the confidence it spurs in you. But like what the market veterans would say 'the market giveth, the market taketh'..."
    The truth is that luck is the combination of skills and opportunities. Many things that look like luck at first blush are part of a cycle.
    After investing for some time, many mooers might feel anxious and regretful. Some of us can't stop thinking about what we should've done when we were younger and what could've been achieved if we'd chosen differently. @aoimizushared his advice with the younger ones at "I hate finance ... but I'm here"
    "I support young people who want to begin their investment journey early. As mentioned in a previous post (Gen Z and debt), I'd put aside my part-time job earnings as the capital for investments. I'd be more proactive in scanning the news and be updated on the overall environment. I'd become more curious about the companies that make the products I use, and study them more closely."
    @小虎发大财wrote something about his words to himself if he can travel back in time at his post "I started my investment journey in 2017."
    "I entered the market without any knowledge and purely by rumors, ended up suffering a loss.From there onwards, i started reading and watching video on youtube to educate myself, even till now hungry for knowledge. If I can return back time, i will tell myself to start off investment way earlier."
    Regrets are common in trade because they occur both when you make a move or do absolutely nothing. How to deal with "regrets" when you want to start with "if only"? @Powerhouseresponded with "Really? Then you are not playing big enough!!"
    "Investment is like this. You lost some here; you better wake up your idea to earn more somewhere else...Play within your means. That is how I consoled myself. Lose, never mind, just don't lose your mind and spirit. Miss the boat, try the other boat beside it!"
    "The minute you appreciate what you have, joyfulness overcomes suffering."
    2021 may not be the best in your life, but it couldn't be worse than 2020. Could it? We survived 2020, so when we start to appreciate what we have, 2021 could be a year full of joyfulness.
    Do you agree with @Syueeat her post "Birds of a Feather, Flock Together!"?
    "I believe in following the practice of gratitude, giving and sharing with the less fortunate. Not everyone is as lucky to have a roof over their heads, clothes to cover their bodies and food to fill their stomachs...Happiness keeps you sweet. Trials keep you strong. Sorrows keep you human. Failure keeps you humble. Success keeps you glowing. FAMILY keeps you GOING."
    Moo community is committed to accompanying you throughout your trading journey and offering as much support as we can.
    2021 might be the start of the trading journey for many mooers. We've seen many mooers saying that moomoo is what gets them started in trading. That is AWESOME!
    @aoimizusaid in one of his posts, "There is a sense of camaraderie in the moomoo community, making me feel that this is not a lonely journey and I can always ask for help". This is exactly what moomoo wants to bring to all of you! We will always be there for you. Wish you all a very happy 2022 ahead!

    Recently, reports about cashing out by American business leaders have stirred the nerves of investors. It has reached its peak when the CEOs of $Tesla (TSLA.US)$and $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ started selling their stock while their company's stock prices were hovering near new records.
    $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ Chief Executive Satya Nadella sold about half of his shares in the company last week, reported by Wall Street Journal on Nov. 29.
    The filing of Mr. Nadella’s transaction was made public on the Wednesday before the long Thanksgiving weekend. The transaction yielded more than $285 million for Mr. Nadella. This is the single-largest stock sale for Mr. Nadella, according to InsiderScore.
    How did the market react?
    Interestingly, MSFT has fallen 2% since LAST Wednesday, while $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ has fallen 2.64% over the same period.
    Ben Silverman, director of research at InsiderScore, said the sale is similar to Tesla CEO Elon Musk's recent stock sales. Mr. Musk took to Twitter on Nov. 7 pledging to sell 10% of his stockholdings. The Tesla CEO was taking advantage of gains in the company’s stock price, Mr. Silverman said.
    $Tesla (TSLA.US)$'s stock price has fallen by about 7%, and its market value has shrunk by nearly $100 billion from that point.
    Does CEOs’ sell-off mean it’s time to sell?
    Action speaks louder than words. Of course, the behavior of business leaders will affect investors' confidence in the company. At least, for better or worse, news usually makes stocks more volatile in the short term.
    However, their actions are not always noteworthy.
    For one thing, insiders may have their own reason each time they sell stock. As to Nadella, analysts said the move could be related to Washington state instituting a 7% tax for long-term capital gains beginning at the start of next year for anything exceeding $250,000 a year.
    For another, insider trading shouldn't be the only source of information, because not every executive is correct each time. In the long run, the best option is to research in-depth.
    News about the sale of stocks by executives is reported from time to time. To paint a clearer picture of their effects, let's check the performance of markets and those stocks:
    1. The broad market has continuously set new highs since the pandemic.
    2. Taking Amazon as an example, after the CEO sold shares, the stock price has still climbed higher.
    The same story also applies to $Pfizer (PFE.US)$, whose CEO sold stocks last November.
    3. It's not all good news.   $GameStop (GME.US)$ CEO announced to sell stocks in April. Here is how the stock price performed since then.
    The bottom line
    1. The CEO's sell-off may help you predict the future volatility of stock prices in the short term.
    2. There is no obvious correlation between long-term stock performance and CEO selling.
    3. Insider trading should not be the only source of information. Before making wise investment decisions, we should rely on in-depth research to check the company’s financial statements, annual reports, and other public opinions.
    As a rule, value investors generally prefer to invest in high-quality companies with fair prices. The question is, how to identify the value of a company?

    $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ Will Tesla be able to book the entire value of the car when they aren't complete at the time of sale. Their should at a minimum be a liability charge added to the books for the cost of the repairs for completing the vehicle and a discount being given to the buyers for purchasing a car that has to have the dash removed making it less desirable for resale.

    According to Wikipedia, frequency illusion is a cognitive bias in which, after noticing something for the first time, there is a tendency to notice it more often, leading someone to believe that it has a high frequency of occurrence.
    Some mooers must be indulging in the stock market that they see market-related things everywhere. It isn't a bad thing actually. Imagination is like your superpower. Just make sure you get enough rest when stock markets are closed okay?
    Here come some examples of frequency illusion:
    @Deezy_McCheezy: $Palantir (PLTR.US)$ It shows us nothing more or less than the deepest, most desperate desire of our hearts
    @Singh Rahul: $Palantir (PLTR.US)$ LOL
    @mooster Han: $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ strong
    @Laughing Dollars: $Palantir (PLTR.US)$ When u r holding 30x 28 calls expiring this Friday...
    @Felix py: $AMC Entertainment (AMC.US)$ strong hold!
    @BadPaint: $SNDL Inc (SNDL.US)$
    @Questionable Invts: $AMC Entertainment (AMC.US)$ Gotta Stop Double Dipping. If you want price rocket.
    @deluxe bean: $AMC Entertainment (AMC.US)$ stock right now...
    @Marval: shorts will go hungry for tendies
    @LaPlasita: To Infinity And Beyond!
    According to the definiton of frequency illution, it's easier to discover sense of humor and happiness in life if you always wear a smile right? Remember to stay happy when investing!

    Facebook's re-christening as $Meta Platforms (FB.US)$ took Wall Street and social media by strom on Thursday as the tech company positioned itself to double down on the metaverse.
    An exchange-traded fund with the ticker symbol $Roundhill Ball Metaverse ETF (META.US)$ saw a flood of new cash after Facebook officially changed its name to Meta Platforms. The $142 million Roundhill Ball Metaverse ETF pulled in $12.5 million on Thursday, its largest single-day inflow since early September.
    Since the announcement, traders have bid up shares of funds and companies that could be mistaken for Facebook's new name. Shares of $Meta Materials (MMAT.US)$, a trending meme stock on Reddit's WallStreetBets forum, saw its shares jump 8.3% since Wednesday's close to trade around $4.71 as of Friday afternoon.
    Cases of mistaken identity aren't uncommon in the investment world. When $Zoom Video Communications (ZM.US)$ made its debut on the public market in 2019, penny stock Zoom Technologies, whose ticker was ZOOM at the time, soared 56,000% within 30 days.

    Tech stocks have been one of the biggest winners of the bullish stock market in the major stock indexes $Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$, $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$, $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$. There are many tech stocks to consider for investment but the best tech stocks $Adobe (ADBE.US)$, $Alphabet-A (GOOGL.US)$, $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ $Apple (AAPL.US)$, $Intel (INTC.US)$, $Meta Platforms (FB.US)$, $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$, $Netflix (NFLX.US)$, $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$, $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ are those with long track records of rapid growth, impressive profitability and sustainable competitive advantages. The tech giants are the fuel for today's economy and have been showing strong gains and do not appear to be slowing down anytime soon. From an investment perspective, the tech titans could provide outsized gains for the investor's stock portfolio over the long term, and the best tech stocks could yield exceptional returns in the long haul. Still, investors need to choose very carefully to avoid possible investing pitfalls. It would be worthwhile to consider each tech stock's valuation relative to its own historical valuation and that of comparable competitors. Ultimately, a good tech stock is one that trades at a reasonable valuation given its growth prospects. While investing in tech stocks could fetch exceptional returns, it is risky at the same time but such risks could be mitigated by investing only when investors feel confident that  the growth prospects of the tech stocks would justify their valuations.

    WHOOOO WANTS CANDY???
    Yes mooers! Halloween is coming again, a day full of sweet smell of candies and spooky ghost legends!! There are many fantasy sayings about Halloween, and people hold different opinions about these. For instance, believe it or not, it's generally said that Halloween is also the most haunted day of the year as the old saying goes. And that's why people are keen to dress up in costumes and swarm into the street in order to drive away ghosts. While these legends seems difficult to be confirmed, there are also some anomalies regarding Halloween in the stock market.
