The FPSO is engineered for a 30-year operational lifespan without the need for dry docking, according to MISC Berhad. MISC build it and lease it to Petrobas to operate.The best part that was not highlighted before, it is forecast 60% of the world future FPSO contracts will originate from Brazil and Suriname.

The forecast for FPSO contracts between 2021 and 2025 indicates that Brazil and Guyana/Suriname will account for more than 60% of the FPSO contracts awarded during this period. MISC has a proven track record to deliver a very large FPSO for an international company like Petrobras. The opportunity for future wins are there.

Value Hunter OP 102324582 : Usually instituition players invest and sell based on their logic. For them possibly their average cost is nearer to the IPO price of RM1.00 when it was first listed back in 1992. EPF as to date hold 11% which is approx  507million units. Their share trading logic is not like us retail investors that is for sure. Only recently 23rd oct they just acquired approx 180k units of MISC shares. So who knows why EPF still want to acquire MISC shares. Maybe they like the Mero 3 contract too.

This means that Petros will take over the role from Petronas, not only as a buyer and seller of natural gas, but also to undertake all activities related to the acquisition, supply and distribution of natural gas produced in Sarawak. Processing gas to liquid gas and vice versa is not in the scope. Therefore, it stands to read logically that Petronas core gas processing activities will  still continue with Petronas private subsidiary - Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd based in Bintulu including their floating lng plants, PFLNG 1 and 2 . Meanwhile Petdag and Pchem are both listed companies in Bskl, their downstream business activities are reported separately from the gas processing and distribution business.

Value Hunter OP 我要财富自由 : On average the stations pulled in RM400k a month.. that is not a small money by any measure and the biggest contribution to the profit margin is from the product convenience stores. Margin on fuel is not much but they have massive volume sold. Jet fuel moving towards sustainable jet fuel but it is pricier than standard jet fuel which is still their bread and butter. They also started to open Petronas station in Brazil on franchise basis… what a wonderful development! I like to see more of them sprouting all over South America continents - Brazil and Argentina especially. The CEO is doing something right. They also converting their stations located at the highway to equip with electric charger also to get some money too
