In 2024, I deeply realized that investment is a journey that requires continuous progress and learning. In the past, I used to seek opportunities in familiar areas, until I started exploring opportunities in A-shares, Hong Kong stocks, and US stocks on moomoo platform in May this year.
The convenient functions of this platform not only enhance my trading experience, but also enable me to gain valuable investment knowledge and insights. Investment should not be stagnant, but should actively broaden horizons and pursue broader global opportunities.

In the blink of an eye, 2024 is almost over. I want to talk about my investment experience this year. In summary, it's like following a year-long melodramatic idol drama, with climax, low points, and occasional plot twists.
Let's talk about the sharp drop in technology stocks at the beginning of the year, which directly 'rubbed me on the ground'. My account once turned as green as the grass in spring, but magically, this experience forced me to calm down, reexamine my actions. Later, through moomoo's P/L analysis, I found that my issue was too concentrated position allocation, so I quickly 'diversified risk' to stabilize the situation.
The most fulfilling moment occurred in July when I used moomoo's Calendar feature to target the earnings report day of a blue chip stock. After studying the data in advance, I boldly bought in and actually caught a small rebound. This move made me feel like an investment genius!
Over the past year, my biggest realization is: no matter how big the market fluctuations are, stay calm. Use the tools well, and the profits will naturally come. In the end, investing is a marathon, stability is much more important than speed.

The most unnerving moment in my 2024 investment journey was August 5 selloff event. A seemingly obscure concern about something called “unwinding carry trade” emerged from Japan, crashed their market (-17.5%, a largest 2-day decline in history, OMG), and then reverberated through the world.
