EV Stocks
Electric vehicles developed by $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ $XPENG-W (09868.HK)$ $XPeng (XPEV.US)$ $NIO Inc (NIO.US)$ $Lucid Group (LCID.US)$ may be seen as the future of private and public transport but there are a few concerns:
1) The designs and technology are new and safety problems may surface later on; there have been several accidents so far.
2) Future growth may have already been priced in, which makes the stocks expensive.
3) High volatility in the stock price.
With fear, uncertainty and doubt over future Chinese regulations and tapering on the Fed’s cards, I am bearish on EV stocks in the short term.

aoimizu : I know some cities like Shanghai have made it illegal to drive non-Shanghai plate petrol cars. There will probably be more cities like this so it could be in favor of NIO, XPeng, etc. However, they also face intense competition from small Chinese brands that are offering extremely affordable small EVs in small cities. Will be interesting to see how this industry plays out in China vs US or Europe.
Dadacai OP aoimizu : Thanks for your valuable comments. Have a great day.
