Ermmmmm : Definitely Apple $Apple (AAPL.US)$ . Largest market cap company in the world, great management/leaders, strong moat with their products (even though they are expensive), also rumour to go into EV and satellite -related products. Providing some descent dividend and not extremely overvalued
Popular on moomoo OP : Hey mooers, why not share your insight now?
HopeAlways : I would recommend new mooers to take a closer look at $Apple (AAPL.US)$ for long term investment as I believe that it is the kind of stock to just buy and hold for long term growth and regular dividends. Though $Apple (AAPL.US)$ is now already trading at record highs and has room to drop, new mooers may ignore market noise and and hold $Apple (AAPL.US)$ for the long haul to reap good returns by investing in a fundamentally strong company with valuations that do not seem overstretched yet with a host of positive growth drivers. $Apple (AAPL.US)$ seems to be on track to exploit the terrific market opportunity for the 5G smartphone market that is still in its infant stages of growth. $Apple (AAPL.US)$ appears to be sitting on a great opportunity to raise both its sales and operating margins thanks to an improved iPhone pricing and higher 5G smartphone shipments. New mooers who are keen in investing in the 5G sector may consider picking $Apple (AAPL.US)$ for their investment portfolio. The fact that $Apple (AAPL.US)$ forms the largest holding for Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Portfolio should also give new mooers the confidence to consider investing in $Apple (AAPL.US)$ for the long term.
GratefulPanda : Congrats to all commenters and thank you so much moomoo for fostering a generous sharing and landing mooers community!
For the new Mooers, I would perhaps suggest looking into Tencent. There's a dip caused by regulatory changes now, which may be a buying opportunity. Tencent also owns lots of young unicorns, including Futu. So lots of potential growth. But again, please do your own due diligence on any stock you decide to buy. May the odds be ever with you, new Mooers!
31dragon : $Alibaba (BABA.US)$.. This one is under value company in my point of view..
Alibaba said it will invest $15.5 billion in support of President Xi Jinping's "common prosperity" initiative, which encourages large China-based companies to share the wealth to ease inequality in the world's second largest economy. According to published reports, the funds will be used to support small businesses and gig workers, among other things. Of course, it might impact on the short term as cash flow through will be a little more tight form donations. But given common sense in PRC government, it a 2way benefits to each other for longer terms... Thus gov will also supports the big tech companies then letting it crush or bankruptcy.. So it a long call for this ticker..
aoimizu : I will recommend $Apple (AAPL.US)$ for the long haul. The evidence is very clear when you look at the company's stock split history and the prices that have kept reaching new heights after each split.
Here is an article: https://seekingalpha.com/article/4407175-apple-stock-split-may-happen-again-what-to-know. Imagine if you had invested in just 100 AAPL stock 20 years ago, how many AAPL stocks will you be holding now? Do your own math
And from what we're seeing now, it doesn't seem like the company is slowing down in any way. Personally, I'm extremely bullish on AAPL for the next 10 years. The two things I'm keeping an eye on the most - 1) the health ecosystem enabled by Apple Watch, 2) Apple Car.
Both of these will largely define our future as humanity - health as evident especially in post-pandemic times, how prevention is way, way better than cure. And the environment - what we're seeing in EVs now are just in their infancy. I'm very excited to see what Apple's version of an EV is like. I think it won't be just another Tesla.
