Tesla delivered 201,250 vehicles in the second quarter, up 122 percent from 90,650 in the same period last year, the company reported Friday.

That was below analyst estimates of 204,160 in a Bloomberg survey and the FactSet consensus of 207,000, but above the 200,258 in a Reuters poll.

Tesla delivered 1,890 Model S and Model X units in the second quarter, down 82 percent from a year earlier.

Its Model 3 and Model Y deliveries stood at 199,360 in the second quarter.

Tesla produced 206,421 vehicles in the second quarter, compared with 82,272 in the same period a year earlier.

The company's Model S and Model X were 2,340 units in the second quarter, down 63 percent from a year earlier. Model 3 and Model Y production was 204,081 units in the second quarter.

Before Tesla released its second-quarter delivery and production figures, Deutsche Bank lowered its estimates.

In a research note sent to investors Thursday, analyst Emmanuel Rosner said he lowered the team's estimate for Tesla's deliveries in the second quarter to 200,000 units from 207,000 in reaction to softer Chinese volumes.
