• Trader-101 楼主 Dylinh : well options work just like a trade works if you buy a call option you're predicting that is going to increase in value if you buy a put option your protection that is going to go down in value know what you're doing you're taking a little bit of money and you're leveraging it over a hundred shares and for that they charge you what's called a premium which is a set amount that you have to pay the person selling that option a varies from option option so when factory in your premium keep that in mind when buying an option because the more you pay the less you're going to make up front but usually the more expensive options are expensive for a reason cuz you got the best chance of making a profit

• Trader-101 楼主 Dylinh : basically the reason people use options and don't buy shares of it for two reasons one you're minimizing your risk and why I say that is you're taking a smaller amount of money and you're leveraging it in an option to get a maximum yield out of it you could do the same thing with stock but you would spend quite a bit more buying a bunch of shares and you would buying an option with the same results
