Daily Poll: Picking stocks is like grocery shopping
Peter Lynch is one of the most successful and well-known investors of all time. He firmly believes that individual investors have a distinct advantage over Wall Street and large money managers when using his approach.
According to his advice, investors should always buy what they understand. They should start with companies on their Sunday shopping list. If something attracts them as consumers, it should also pique their interest as an investment.
Lynch was proud of the fact that many of his great stock ideas were discovered while walking through the grocery store or chatting casually with friends and family.
This philosophy worked 30 years ago; it probably would not be bad to apply in today's rocky stock market environment?
Do you like his philosophy?
