Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has arrived in Shanghai, commencing his journey before proceeding to Beijing during a working visit scheduled for Nov 4-7. Following an invitation from Premier Li Qiang, Anwar is set to participate in the "7th China International Import Expo" ("7th CIIE") held in Shanghai. Anwar's flight touched down at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport at 9:50 Pm local time. Upon arrival, the prime minister received a warm welcome from Malaysia’s Ambassador to China, Datuk Norman Muhamad, and the Consul General of Malaysia in Shanghai, Syed Farizal Aminy Syed Mohamad. In attendance were also the Deputy Mayor of Shanghai and Party Secretary of Minhang District, Chen Yu Jian, alongside China's Ambassador to Malaysia, Ouyang Yujing.
