i guess i did somewhat? usually10-15% down in stocks is a good time to buy. problem is usd also strengthened LOL. v stress for non americans to deal with all these additional emotional turmoil haha. unfortunate.

My wish is
- an improvement to the data/excel export functionality of moomoo. For the open API, currently there are some caps on subscription quota based on asset size etc. will be good if the quota is relaxed.
- For foreign exchange cost, it will be better if it can be easily integrated into the mobile app tracking portfolio so that people can tell what is their pnl easily.
Finally my wish is for a great year ahead for everyone :) huat!

I think sizing trade is an issue for me. when i was younger i buy too big size of a counter. Then i get scarred and now i buy too small 😂😂😂. yeh its a calibration to be made.

With fomo and tina, and a low interest rate environment, this creates the “bubble” in s&p. But actually, it may not crash much. Maybe 20% but very soon, people will find value in stocks again. But yes, pls be mentally prepared that ur stock investment may fall by 20%. But also dont be too scared. It’s a balance.

Usually trend is your friend and momentum brings you higher. for short term trading this would be one of my most important factor. But short term reversal is also a good way to enter if there is a market wide short term correction. Generally look out for medium term upward trend with short term pullback as a buy-the-dip opportunity.
On the contrary medium term downtrend like for Alibaba would mean that it is best to stay away.
Sentiment is also another good indicator. For current environment where FOMO and TINA dominates, you see that negative news dont impact DM big stocks much, while small positive news make it go higher.

us exceptionalism has made us forget that it is normal for stocks to fall. for regular investors it is normal. and always a gd opportunity. having said that, pls dont over leverage to put in stocks.

having the discipline to follow a set of well tested trading plan helps traders to do better. observe trends that work and test them. and then follow the rules without fear and greed! then you are all set :)
