Market Recap
U.S. stocks eked out another all-time high and Treasury yields declined after a report showed consumer sentiment fell to the lowest level in nearly a decade on last Friday. The dollar weakened and crude oil slumped. 
The S&P 500 closed at a record for fourth consecutive session while trading within a 0.2% range last Friday. The consumer staples and real estate sectors led gains, while energy and financial shares declined. The benchmark index has almost doubled since the pandemic lows reached in March 2020, with the energy sector the biggest gainer during that period. Walt Disney rose after its streaming subscriptions beat estimates. European stocks posted the longest winning streak since 1999.   
“It’s just a quiet summer Friday,” said Matt Maley, chief market strategist for Miller Tabak + Co. “Most of the earnings season is behind us. Therefore, people are just taking a breath after a nice rally.”  
Stock of The Week
Themost highlighted stockfrom the previous week would beContextLogic Inc (WISH). ContextLogic operates the online e-commerce platform named WISH.com which was first founded by its current CEOPiotr Szulczewski and CTO Danny Zhangtogether in 2020.
Wish stock tumbled as much as 29% on Friday after turned in second-quarter sales and a per-share loss that missed expectations, prompting a double-downgrade from JPMorgan. J.P. Morgan's Analyst flipped to bearish from bullish as 2Q results and outlook suggest 'significant damage' to the business model.

Serena LYE has maintained the leading position with a return of 41.47% despite the volatility in the market over the past week. Her position was mostly unchanged from the previous week. Our first place of the season prefers stocks that are discussed on Reddit's Wall Street Bets forum, which are losing their momentum in the past two weeks. However, apost on the WSB forum, which had 88% upvotes as of press time, noted that Clover Health is ripe for a major squeeze beginning next weekaccording to Benzinga. The companywas mentioned 209 times as the most discussed single stock on the forum on August, 17th.

Our second place of the week goes to Moo is Fun, who finished the week with a 39.34% P/L%. He obtained his return by seeking opportunities in financial events that would generally trigger a large stock movement. He has seized a great return over the past week in Upstart Holdings (UPST), which announced outstanding earnings and revenue growth last week. The favorite sector of this winner is Financial, who invested most heavily in BNTX.

Hongliang Ang came in third place this week with a total return of 35.52%. This participant prefers large-cap companies and the vaccine industry. He also shows his ability how to find opportunities in the market. Zymergen is a biotech company that was trapped in a lawsuit due to its unlawful action. Our winner wisely bought the company when the stock price plunged sharply due to the lawsuit and waited for the rebound to sell. His largest holding as of week 2 was Apple.

User 102118593 finished the week as fourth-place with a P/L of 28.72% in the second week. He adopted a rather diversifying investment strategy which ensures the portfolio value would not suffer too much from market volatility. He prefers industries like healthcare, new energy that spend a large amount of capital in R&D. Companies in these industries usually construct a strongeconomicmoat for themselves.The term moat, popularized by Warren Buffett, refers to a business's ability to maintain competitive advantages over its competitors in order to protect its long-term profits and market share from competing firms.

102767342Kit has finished the week as the fifth in the competition. He obtained a return as high as 32.65% with 85% of all his capital and 2 trades only. Both of the companies he invested in are cryptocurrency-related companies. The Crypto market tops $2 trillion for the first time in nearly 3 months as bitcoin rallies as the epic Bitcoin topped 48,000 over the weekend. The bitcoin recovery comes after it sold off heavily in June and July, dropping below $30,000 following a record high of over $64,000 in April.
