The Korean variants of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and its base model have recorded impressive scores on Geekbench listings, reported SamMobile.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset from Qualcomm Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM).

It has notched up a score of 2,214 in single-core and 6,744 in multi-core tests. In contrast, Apple's flagship iPhone 15 Pro Max has scored 2,935 and 7,207, respectively, displaying only a minor numerical advantage.

Despite this, the anticipated real-world performance difference between the two devices might be negligible. The Galaxy S24 also demonstrates significant improvements from its predecessor, with scores of 2,051 in single-core and 6,204 in multi-core tests.

While the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to utilize the same chipset globally, there is speculation that some Galaxy S23 models in Europe could be equipped with Samsung's Exynos 2400 chips, which are perceived as less powerful than their Qualcomm counterparts.

Why It Matters: Samsung is targeting a significant milestone with the Galaxy S24 series, aiming to ship 35 million units in 2024, a 10% increase from the Galaxy S23's 31 million units.
