Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk on Sunday denied rumors of a refreshed Model Y launching this year.

What Happened: "There is no new Model Y this year," Musk wrote on X after images of a black Model Y under wraps started doing the rounds on social media as a possible prototype of a revamped version of the SUV.

Musk has previously denied rumors of a refreshed Model Y. "No Model Y 'refresh' is coming out this year. I should note that Tesla continuously improves its cars, so even a car that is 6 months newer will be a little better," Musk said in June.
