Malaysia Targets 5% Approved Investment Growth This Year

Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz said Malaysia is aiming for a 5% growth in approved investments in 2024.

投资、贸易和行业板块部长丹古达鲁斯里扎富尔·阿卜杜勒·阿齐兹表示,马来西亚计划在2024年实现5%的创业板批准投资增长。

In the first three months of 2024, Malaysia recorded approved investments of RM83.7 billion (1Q2024), marking a 13% increase from RM74.1 billion recorded in the previous corresponding period.

2024年前三个月,马来西亚获批投资额达837亿令吉 (第一季度2024),比上一个对应期间记录的741亿令吉增长了13%。

"For now, officially the target is 5% for the approved investment and we will review this figure later based on the investment pipeline. At the moment, the 5% targeted growth is based on the expected gross domestic product (GDP) growth for the country of between 4% and 5% this year," Tengku Zafrul told newsmen after the unveiling of the ministry's report card for the second quarter this year (2Q2024).

“目前,批准投资的目标是5%,我们将根据投资管道稍后再审查此数字。目前,5%的目标增长率基于今年国内生产总值(GDP)预计增长率在4%至5%之间,” Tengku Zafrul 在本年度第二季度部长报告发布会后告诉新闻记者。

Of the total approved investment of RM83.7 billion in 1Q2024, foreign investments contributed RM47 billion (56.2%), while domestic investments were RM36.7 billion. In 2023, Malaysia managed to record total investments of RM329.46 billion, including foreign investments of RM188.37 billion and domestic investments of RM141.09 billion.

在2024年第一季度获得批准的总投资额中,外国投资贡献了470亿令吉(56.2%),而国内投资则为367亿令吉。 2023年,马来西亚成功记录了总投资额达3294.6亿令吉,其中包括1883.7亿令吉的外国投资和1410.9亿令吉的国内投资。
