Airod Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul company, has clinched a US$1.5 million (RM6.99 Million) project via its collaboration with Bar Aviation Ltd to maintain L100 aircraft in Uganda.

Airod said this marked the second collaboration between both companies. The project will be executed by a team of 11 professionals, including two engineers.

"Spanning 180 days, the global line services (GLS) team aims to set new standards in aviation maintenance services," it said.

It said the GLS team is a specialised unit within Airod that provides field services for Hercules C-130/L100 aircraft worldwide, including aircraft field services and modifications and operating systems to demonstrate equipment, analyse malfunctions and offer technical consultancy.

"To date, the team has delivered these services in numerous countries, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Jordan, Tunisia, Mali, Botswana, Ecuador, Afghanistan and Malaysia.

"This collaboration not only highlights the importance of international cooperation but also signifies a shared vision of fostering growth in the aerospace sector in the African continent and beyond," it said.

Bar Aviation is an eminent company in Africa providing a comprehensive range of aviation services, including charter flights, cargo transport, as well as aircraft maintenance and modifications.
