Potential Skyworth Group Limited (HKG:751) shareholders may wish to note that the CEO & Executive Director, Chi Shi, recently bought HK$3.0m worth of stock, paying HK$2.94 for each share. While that's a very decent purchase to our minds, it was proportionally a bit modest, boosting their holding by just 3.0%.

Skyworth Group Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Notably, that recent purchase by CEO & Executive Director Chi Shi was not the only time they bought Skyworth Group shares this year. Earlier in the year, they paid HK$2.88 per share in a HK$6.3m purchase. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of HK$2.85. Their view may have changed since then, but at least it shows they felt optimistic at the time. We always take careful note of the price insiders pay when purchasing shares. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock when an insider has bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price. The only individual insider to buy over the last year was Chi Shi.

Chi Shi purchased 17.51m shares over the year. The average price per share was HK$2.97.
