Malaysian Genomics Resource Centre Berhad (MGRC), a genomics and biopharmaceutical specialist, has announced a collaboration with IMU University to launch a Graduate Trainee Programme. This initiative aims to foster industry education excellence and train the next generation of healthcare professionals.

MGRC Therapeutics Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Group, will work closely with IMU University, a premier private higher education institution renowned for producing excellent practitioners. IMU University has over 30 years of dedicated focus in healthcare education and holds the distinction of being the first private medical university to attain self-accreditation status from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). It has also received SETARA's highest accolade for the third consecutive time.

The Graduate Trainee Programme offers IMU graduates from the Bachelor of Applied Science (Hons) in Medical Biotechnology and Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biomedical Science the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the genomics and biopharmaceutical industry. Selected graduates will benefit from a holistic career pathway leveraging MGRC's extensive ecosystem. This programme demonstrates the synergy between academia and industry, ensuring curriculum relevancy and early talent development.
