Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called for the acceleration of digital banking transformation in Malaysia to ensure the country keeps pace with regional developments.

Speaking at the Launch Ceremony of GXBank's Headquarters and the GXBank Centre of Excellence today, Anwar acknowledged Malaysia's delayed entry into the digital banking sector compared to its regional peers. He highlighted the need for faster progress to overcome the current lag in various aspects of digital banking.
在广西银行总部和卓越中心的启动仪式上发言，安瓦尔承认与该地区同行相比，马来西亚数字银行板块进入市场的时间较晚。他强调需要更快的进展，以克服数字银行各个方面的滞后现象。
Anwar emphasized that the government is actively supporting this shift through the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry, and the Ministry of Digital. This support aims to remove outdated regulations and processes that have been hindering the growth of digital banks.
安瓦尔强调政府正在积极通过投资贸易与工业部和数字部支持这种转变。该支持旨在消除那些一直妨碍数字银行增长的陈旧法规和程序。
"The challenge for GXBank and other digital banks is to adapt and implement these changes swiftly," Anwar stated. "I am confident that the entire GX Bank team will meet this challenge with determination."
