YTL Power's FY24 Net Profit Jumps 75% To RM3.5 Billion
YTL Power profit after tax for the current financial year increased to RM3.5 billion representing an increase of 75% or RM1.5 billion as compared to RM2.0 billion recorded in the preceding year.
本财年YTL Power的税后利润增至350亿元，比上一年的200亿元增长了75％或150亿元。
The group said the higher profit was principally attributable to better performance in the Power Generation segment. YTL recorded higher revenue of RM22,320.5 million for the current financial year ended 30 June 2024, representing an increase of RM430.0 million or 2.0% as compared to RM21,890.5 million recorded in the preceding financial year ended 30 June 2023.
该集团表示，盈利增长主要归因于发电部门的良好表现。截至2024年6月30日，YTL的营业收入为2,232.05亿马来西亚林吉特，比截至2023年6月30日的前一财政年度的2,189.05亿马来西亚林吉特增加了4,300万马来西亚林吉特，增长2.0%。
The power generation unit saw an increase in profit before taxation due to better margins, lower interest expenses following loan repayments and strengthening of Singapore Dollar against Ringgit Malaysia. The decrease in revenue however was mainly due to the lower pool price and partially offset by strengthening of Singapore Dollar against Ringgit Malaysia.
由于较好的利润率、贷款偿还和新加坡元对马来西亚林吉特汇率的增强，发电部门的税前利润增加，然而营业收入的下降主要是由于电力市场价格下降的部分抵消。
As for Q4, the profit after taxation of RM1.1 billion was flat, however revenue of RM6.3 billion for the current financial quarter represented a decrease of RM744.4 million or 10.5% as compared to RM7.0 billion recorded in the preceding year corresponding quarter.
至于第四季度，税后利润保持平稳，然而该财政季度的营业收入为630亿马来西亚林吉特，比上一年对应季度的700亿马来西亚林吉特下降了7,444万马来西亚林吉特，下降10.5%。
