Looking at ZipRecruiter, Inc.'s (NYSE:ZIP ) insider transactions over the last year, we can see that insiders were net sellers. That is, there were more number of shares sold by insiders than there were purchased.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At ZipRecruiter

In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the insider, J. Miller, sold US$904k worth of shares at a price of US$12.00 per share. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. The silver lining is that this sell-down took place above the latest price (US$8.93). So it may not shed much light on insider confidence at current levels. J. Miller was the only individual insider to sell over the last year.

Insider Ownership

Many investors like to check how much of a company is owned by insiders. Usually, the higher the insider ownership, the more likely it is that insiders will be incentivised to build the company for the long term. Insiders own 3.6% of ZipRecruiter shares, worth about US$32m. We've certainly seen higher levels of insider ownership elsewhere, but these holdings are enough to suggest alignment between insiders and the other shareholders.

内部人士拥有ZipRecruiter3.6%的股份,价值约3200万美元。
